I can see what Conor does be at with his flashy cars clothes jewellery ect I'd be doing the same myself living the good life but its detrimental to a fighters career sometimes,no matter how hungry he says he is in an interview it's hard to get out them silk sheets and go running and putting hard work in,he has already secured his and his family lives financially with bundles in his bank still,

It's Rocky III all over again. In fairness though, it's possible to get that hunger back...

I said Portal was a big factor in Conor's performance on the night and Conor has just come out saying the same.

Listen lads just get over it, I was right and you were wrong. A bit of humility wouldn't go astray

    lol

Nah specifically went on about Ido being the BJJ coach. And were repeatedly called out on it. You never mention his prep during fight week that I see.

If you want to take Conor's post as confirmation for what you said, that's fine. Maybe you'll drop in now, its only been 3 months. :pac:

Looking forward to your insight around here now you got some closure.

Ah tbf now, he was repeatedly saying that Conor's foolish diet of steak after steak was gonna cost him the fight that week. McGregor has also confirmed that his diet choices did in fact contribute to his loss. Also, within hours of the defeat he posted saying that Conor needed to dump Ido. Was the first on the thread to do so in fact but yet he got a kicking pretty much everytime he opened his mouth. So it's only natural for him to come back on now and say 'Well actually folks, you were wrong, here's an interview with McGregor pretty much saying what I had been saying all along and you all told me I was talking out my hole' or whatever. Just take it on the chin. Yeah others might have said similar to what he had been saying, but his posts aren't directed at them, they are directed at the people that told him he was wrong.

I got the same crap here last week when I was told that I was just looking for a pat on the back after I posted how McGregor had confirmed that the reason he wanted to skip the Vegas presser was because he just wasn't feeling it after the Joao fight. People immediately started moaning that thread was just turning into people backslapping themselves... after one post! You couldn't make it up :P Amazing how some people have no problem filling the thread with weeks of constant attacks on users telling them that they are talking shite, how they're just fanbois who are up McGregor's arse and yet when that person posts to point out how something has been said which shows that they weren't remotely talking shite at the time and were it fact spot bloody on.. those same users lose their minds over it. What's good for the goose is not good for the gander it would seem. The way I see it though, is if you're prepared to dish it out, and there is no doubt that many of you are, then you should be well prepared to take it.

Well, the interviews confirming that Conor wasn't 'too afraid' or 'scared' to face Nate at a presser, or that he wasn't looking for yet more money, that Ido and diet were detrimental to his training and contributed to his lose etc, were just given over this past week or so. Three months you all had to tell people they were fanbois and how you were surprised we could get wifi signals up McGregor's arse and so surely, you can be gracious enough to allow us one or two posts to point out that the real reason the thread had gone turned to shit was because there was so many of you talking it.

I'm starting to think this thread could do with being locked up for a little while until there is some proper new McGregor news, just until there is something to actually discuss instead of all the arguing

Just saw an interview with Dana where he said he is looking for a new opponent for McGregor :D

Looks like the Nate rematch wont happen thankfully, hopefully Edgar gets past Aldo with no injury at 200 and they just have him v Edgar for this next match at 202/203. If they have Conor fight someone besides Nate next and its not for the belt its a bit of a joke.

He's playing his hard ball game with Nate hoping he will crack and just take the offer on the table,For the sake of Conors career im hoping it doesnt happen stupid fighting at 170 no matter who its against.

Yeah, just all seems like something designed to put pressure on Nate to accept what they're offering asap.
"We've been going back and forth and trying to make this fight happen, but the problem is timing," White said. "Now we're running out of time, because I've already got -- this fight is supposed to be August 20th, or something like that. I've already got September 20th done. I've already got that card made, it's done, and now we're moving onto the next one. So we're going to get to a point here where we're going to run out of time and we're just not going to be able to make the fight. So Conor is going to have to pick a new opponent that he would like to fight, or lose that date".

Nate is right to try and get whatever he can from this fight though as lets face it, this fight will be the largest pay day of his career, win or lose, as even if he wins nobody would want to see another rematch and who else could he fight that would give him the negotiation leverage that he has now. Not a chance that Diaz vs McGregor won't be happening at 202. Set in stone.

Diaz has all of the power tbh, IF conor was to get a new opponent and utterly destroy him, Diaz can just point out he's fighting nobodies, and when he came up against an american ninja he got shown up.

Im a diaz fan but if they pull the mcgregor fight out from under him and hes back fighting nobodies for 20 and 20, he has all the power as far as this fight is concerned but after that not so much

Pretty sure he got a vastly improved contract that he heard him say he was happy with, before he signed on for the first fight.I would expect he is on at least 60 60 at this point but it would have been extended probably another 6 fights maybe.

If I remember correctly Diaz got an improved fight deal for his future fights, when he agreed to fight Conor last time.

fair enough i was excaggerating to be fair but no way in hell he fights anyone other than conor and pulls in 500k again was the point i was trying to make

Yeah i agree,Conor has a long list of fights that he can make, that are gonna do big numbers, from Frankie,Aldo,Rda even Cowboy and Conor would be a massive fight.

Diaz has no other fight or won't have to match this for pay,so maybe he is looking at as his golden ticket and he might be right to keep hold of it,because no matter what way it plays out Conor is gonna keep wanting that rematch.

If Conor wins his next few fights then the Diaz fight gets bigger but if he takes a loss or two Diaz can then jump on that fight before it disappears and it would be still a massive fight.

Obviously you weren't listening to Dana who just listed RDA as a potential fight for Conor if the Diaz fight falls through, and i think its definitely a fight that can happen a lot of people would still be interested in that fight at 155.

I think this thread is redundant now, full of conjecture, speculation, admiration and accusation. I'm not aiming it at anyone but it's getting boring. I wouldn't be one to swipe the "real MMA fan" stick but I'd expect most to be over on the actual confirmed fights threads. a lot of you lads/lasses have tons on knowledge and valuable opinions, how McGregor (and I like'em myself before you go off) must be beaming as this thread is updated every day without so much as a sniff of action. you'd be aswell following em on twitter or Instagram because he's only got celebrity status at this very moment.

I'll take a look back here when a fight is confirmed to be honest.

I feel at UFC200, McGregor will be ringside to be theatrically called out but the winner of aldo v edgar, then it's hype and business as usual til the fight itself.
Id don't see anything other than this for him.
