    I've heard it suggested that Michael Collins was way too flattering in it's portrayal of it's hero and glossed over all his negative points. It does tend to get a bit of a free pass as a movie in Ireland and escape any criticism.

    You are right, I didn't know his age so guessed he was in his 60s, he is 56.

    That's a professional - An Irish actor who works with a vocal coach to get the correct local Irish accent.

    I thought that was a genuinely interesting anecdote.
