Do you still own that Colm? What do you daily drive? Or is the FTO your daily?

Pretty sure there are companies out there that do classic on them. If you saw the price of parts for them you'd understand why they're so hard to insure!

I got a quote as a daily for just below €1500 and another company for €2600 and rang a fair few of the classic companies and none would take them on. Sorry we do not do classic insurance on those cars etc...

The quote of €1500 is still too expensive for me especially considering I can get quotes a lot cheaper on other 200 bhp cars but the only thing is those cars cost a lot more than what I could pick up a FTO for.

The more pressing issue with that would be if she had a draw bar or not.

    Name your price.

Had one for my first car almost twenty years ago and always regretted selling it. Spent the guts of the last year looking out for one so won't be selling it in a hurry. Sorry.

I reckon that CRX would really benefit from a set of clear lenses.

Disagree strongly! The amber lenses are something different, and everyone has clear lenses, it's actually refreshing to see one with amber lenses

Lassa tyres...mmmmm. I bet the taxi drivers are all using them?

Really like that shape GS, really understated but classy. Much less marmite than its predecessor.

No personal choice as I had them on another car before, Bridgestone actually make them but they seem good in the wet plus very little road noise.. They are actually dear enough for a tyre that's not popular.

Fair enough! I'm usually worried about tyres with "interesting" names.

Ha ha trust me with 250 hp on RWD I wouldn't be putting on Triangles. .:P I would be all out to put up 4k a year as herself has a car and I have company transport.

I know ye guys will want to tie me to a railing and beat me with a sock full of coins, but I think it looks well (have yet to actually see them in-person though - collecting tomorrow).

    Black_wheels_01_1.jpg

I've showed my little photoshop mockups to a handful of people I know and pretty much everyone agrees with ye guys - that the black is a bad decision and that I should stick with silver, but I still have it lodged in my head that they'll look really well. Maybe I've a subconscious black wheel fetish that I'm only now discovering, but I think the wheel looks great in black (even though I'm well aware many of ye are probably cringing or reaching for the sick bag! :P ).

Could you not have wrapped them or something? So that in 2 weeks, when you come to your senses, it can be reversed?
