    Some interesting statistics alright

    Mean temperature: 5.4c (+1.4c above the LTA)
    Rainfall: 39.2mm (66% of the LTA) (51% of the total recorded yesterday)
    Sunshine: 12.8 hours (28% of the LTA) (average)

    My January mean temperature keeps dropping by at least -0.1c every day.

    Bloody hell wind and rain here in Dublin 18 is phenomenal for the last 3 hours. Horizontal rain and looks like snowballs blowing off the lampposts (wishing it were so!!).

    We had 15.6mm up to midnight and none since!

    Today is clear, sunny and breezy. The overnight high was 8.2C (at midnight) - low was 4.5C at 10am and it's now 4.9C.

    For the first time since December 24th {I only had 2 such days in December, 11th and 24th}, I had a Winter-like day with cold sunshine and plenty of it! I love this, bring it on! It actually felt like Winter. In fact, see my mean temperature difference from adding 1st-6th values with the 1st-7th values:

    1st-6th: 5.5c (+1.5c)
    1st-7th: 4.9c (+0.9c)

    That's how cold today was.

    Been raining heere in NW Clare since just after 6.00pm. Heavy at times. Was not expecting this after hail showers all morning. Still no respite.
