No surprise to see Michael O'Neill getting the biggest cheer of the night.

Might well be bigger than the cheer that the SPOTY winner will get.

Denise Lewis is a fine looking woman, pity about the crow's nest on her head.

I always love this show, and I like how they've made an effort to acknowledge that it's in Belfast this year.

Always a difficult list to prepare.

If you name 20 famous people who passed away, someone will complain that you didn't mention no.21

if you name 500 people, someone will complain you didn't mention no. 501 etc etc

A show like this always hits home to me the oddity that is British sport. Competing as a collective country in some sports and one of four in others. To me, this is something that needs to be standardised across sports, I mean Team GB qualified for rugby 7s in the Olympics off the back of the results of the England team which is absurd.

Did Tyson Fury not quite go with his scripted apology?....seemed to pause when Gary Lineker brought it up.

Damn it I forgot this was on. Garry seems to have lasted unlike last year when he was dying on his arse by the end.

As I said last year announcing the third and second places is like bulleye years ago with here a look at what you could have won.

He cut his finger on the trophy as they came on at the start, but he struggled on!

To be fair, he always looks nervous. :D

Meanwhile Kevin Sinfield is second. That's a bit of a surprise.

Surely Murray has this in the bag?

    Two words: rugby league.

Meanwhile, Murray gets a pretty big cheer - but still not quite as big as the ones that Michael O'Neill got. :D;)

    Rugby league player I think.

Christ Andy Murray has a sense of humour it seems.

Michael O'Neill got by far the biggest cheer

Congrats to Andy Murray,a very motivated lad.

No surprise Murray won it. Am surprised nether Hamilton or Froomey amongst the runners up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,443 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

So his missus is up the duff. It seems that it's not just on the court where Andy gets match point.

Andy Murray deservedly wins and gives a decent speech.

I doubt if many if many people in Belfast would have recognised the Rugby League guy. He would have been a shock winner.
