Been watching him years. He loves a soapbox. Not fond of actually having to defend his opinions. Just wants to pontificate. Won't change at this stage of his life. That's Bob

I miss the days when the papers gave away free CDs, not cookery stuff.

I miss the days when you didn't have to explain to children what a CD is.

    There you go

Ah yes, it was one of those feelings that everybody in the country collectively shared at a momentous Irish event.

The joy we all felt when Packie Bonner saved Daniel Timofte's penalty.
The pride we all felt when My Left Foot won the Oscar.
The feeling of "oh jaysus, I think we pushed this joke too far" when Dustin's shopping trolley was wheeled out on stage at Eurovision.

He really rates himself Bob doesn't he. Like aren't we all so privileged right now being able to listen to his wise words.

He's intelligent and informed . He knows his history and sociology .
    Great to hear him

Open your mind , learn what's happening in our world, contribute , don't knock so much ........I'm studying Sociology and I wish I did it 20 years ago.....it's changed me and challenged me and opened my eyes to the world we live in. We all play a part in this world we share .... and for such a short time!

Hate when they refer to it as a "product". The late late is just a big sales programme now.....flogging stuff.

Open my mind? Coincidently I too happen to be studying sociology right now. Love it. I found nothing wrong with what he was saying, he made some great points. He just has a self indulgent way of speaking that I don't like.
I'm not knocking so please don't knock me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 72,224 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Guy next to her is too afraid to criticise the bread.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

George Bernard Shaw and Al Gore both won Nobel Prizes and Oscars.

I don't think she would consider either of them to have achieved anything as good as winning a prize for Brown Bread

    Self indulgent?

Is it the words he's saying or his accent?
