Ehhh…. 1) emotional state? And 2) I dunno how often this needs repeating or how more clear it could be given the forums we mod list under our avatar, but here goes again... I and the majority of the other mods posting here are not After Hours moderators. We're just another poster here.

And military intervention in the ME and demonizing ordinary Muslims is the answer how?

Both will add fuel to the fire - what do we do then?

    Kill ALL the Muslims?
Even the ones who are Irish born, bred, and raised?
Shall we kill them at birth or wait until they first say Allah Akbar?

Or perhaps we should make them all wear a Crescent on their clothes so we can easily identify them?

    Concentration Camps perhaps?

Do you honestly believe such measures will solve the problem?

I don't. I think that is exactly what ISIS wants because it feeds their 'us against them' propaganda.

What a load of bull. Point out where I mentioned killing all Muslims or locking them all up. If it helps I actually never said any of those things. But you keep building that strawman, it's getting quite impressive now.

The LRA were, at least in some form, a christianity based group that killed and terrorised many until a few years ago

It doesn't even matter whether Christian extremists or not, the point I'm making is that if you use the Qu'ran's content to say "Islam is a violent religion" but refuse to apply the same criteria to the Bible (the old testament as well as new) then you're a flaming hypocrite, simple as.

No, I don't think we should be wasting money on these guys. Not sure what to do, but to afford them comfort in a western judicial hotel would not be my idea of suitable punishment.

By locking them up there's less chance of creating martyrs,Calm and controlled has to be the way forward.

Just worth keeping in mind the vast majority of people killed by IS and fighting against IS are muslim

I'm well aware of that, without the local Kurdish militia etc on the ground much bigger areas of Iraq/Syria would be under IS control.

I think we all agree IS and its followers need to be wiped out not placated, the issue is how that is done without killing 10s of thousands of innocent Muslims in the area.

It's almost as if terrorists don't care about the law ._.
they dont care about their own lives and you think they care about some infidel created law?

They will never integrate and self preservation must be our main concern. Shut the gates like it or not we are under siege. Bleeding hearts go live with them if you feel so inclined I wonder how long your head will stay attached to your shoulders and I'm sure they'll respect your civil rights.

Considering that once ammunition is expended, it's gone, very little (if any). Especially considering the Americans aren't deploying ground troops.

They've been getting shot with their own weapons and ammo for years.... Heres an Ak-47 for you and you and you, hands up who wants some stinger missiles?

There are Irish troops in Syria actually already in a peacekeeping function on the Golan Heights.

And if you feel so cowardly why not join the Kurdish units over there? I wonder if we will see a rise in european people joining the peshmerga groups now

The police have guns. Lots of guns. They also have anti terrorist swat teams. If this happened in London, there would be an armed response in minutes.

Yes, but minutes may be too late. Isn't there an argument that the police in general in England should be armed.

The fact that the president of France IMMEDIATELY closed the borders proves he never believed this lie. He knew it was extremely dangerous and he did it anyways.

If letting hundreds of thousands of Arabs into your country is safe, WHY SHUT THE ****ING BORDER? Because it's blindingly obvious it's extremely dangerous and he never really believed it was safe, but he never cared about the safety of the French people. That isn't his top priority.

Uhm, the borders were closed in order to prevent any potential suspects from fleeing the country

You're missing my point. Islam itself is not the problem and Muslims are not the problem, small minorities of f*ckers are the problem. BoJack and others are attempting to claim that because Muslim scripture contains violence and barbarism, that makes Islam itself an evil and violent religion. I am simply asking why they are not applying the same standard to Christian scripture which contains just as much violence and bullsh!t.

Stop the horsecrap, you know the answer to your own question and looks like you just trolling for attention.

Christians are not launching terrorist attacks and blowing themselves up killing innocent people.

Out of all muslims coming into Europe and elsewhere, there is no way to tell that all are not going to have any extremist views.

Don't pretend that the threat of a terrorist attack from Christian migrants is the same as that of muslim migrants. You know its not at all.

Genuine curiosity, but I wonder if Dublin ever suffered this sort of attack what the response time would be and what the emergency response plan would be.
    Curfews, state of emergency etc.
Sadly I see more attacks coming soon. Id hazard at London or Rome being next.

    Nonsense.

70 years of western countries sending troops to "help" middle east and nothing has improved. Dictatorships rise and fall, people die, new extremists appear, kill people, die off, and the cycle continues.

The western world hasn't done a single bit of long term good in the middle east, and should look at a strategic withdrawal from the entire area. Hold fair and free democratic elections, and we will help you defend your borders. Don't, and you're on your own, economically isolated from the rest of the world. Every invasion makes things worse, and now it's coming back to bite us in the ass.

    Iranians, Iraqis and Lebanese too.

Yep, bomb them all isn't going to work, it's what caused a lot of the problems in the first place.

It will incite racist hate speech, Islam is the victim here it will be under attack now because of these unfortunate events, as well as the fact that one of the attackers was confirmed to be syrian it will lead people to reject refugees from here which is dangerously racist. we need to ignore and resist the people speaking out against islam, migration and multiculturalism and push for greater powers for the authorities against these people. these people are marginalized and are lashing out we need to be more inclusive and tolerant only then will we prevent these kinds of unfortunate situations in the future.

    I never said it was.

I am saying that BASED ON RELIGIOUS TEXTS ALONE, CHRISTIANITY IS JUST AS VIOLENT AS ANY OTHER RELIGION.

That's ALL I'm saying, because BoJack was using religious texts ALONE to tar an entire religion with one brush. No more, no less. You are adding extra inferences and statements which are not in my argument, end of story.
