And to the other provinces too, as Embra is (was) a rival.

Had to be a try. Why in Gods name were they passing so early and not fixing a man!?

Because against a scramble defense you won't be able to fix a man until it's too late. They used the ball correctly they just lacked pace and Munster's scramble was really good.

Terrible play after that though. Their pack are a big weakness, complete lack of organisation and understanding of each other. They should have gotten their 3 points there.

    What the F **** !?!?!?

Thats absolutely disgraceful refereeing there, handing Munster the game. Edinburgh robbed. This instructing of players by refs has to be outlawed completely.
Had he not called "No" to the Munster player at that last ruck, he likely would have touched it (stupidly), penalty to Edinburgh in front of the posts, game over.
Munster got away with it, but this issue of instructing players by refs thinking they are helping the game flow has to stop. Very unfair.

The 2 Munster sub props made a great impact when they came at a time when Munster were trailing.

If you stop referees talking to players like you suggest you end up with a clusterf*** of a game and the "talk" is needed to help the game be better and flow better.

It does help the game flow. You tell a player not to touch the ball, they don't, no penalty, no stoppage of time, game keeps going.

Not to mention players make eye contact with the ref looking for clarification during play, which is very helpful.

I find it hard to believe that was a serious point though.

Very serious point. In the case that by preventing an imminent offence it is benefitting the offender, then it is a bad mistake. Had Edin needed a try, and so would not have benefitted from a penalty, than it could be argued the ref should try to prevent interference.
But in this case, bad reffing, Edin robbed.

It is happening far too much in the game.

To be fair he looked to the ref as if to say "Is this ok?" and got his answer. Referees that communicate are important - I'd much rather the refs facilitate flowing rugby with good communication than for rugby to turn totally into just a negative game of milking penalties. Edinburgh had their chance and they made a bollix of it.

Also Saili's yc was a joke, 6 Edinburgh points came from questionable "not rolling away" calls on Jack, on two occasions Munster had scrums marching forward and were told "use it" for some reason and he pinged Munster on the Edinburgh line somewhat bizarrely judging O'Donoghue to have gone in from the side when he had come fairly straight through the back. It goes both ways.

The Munster player asked him directly, ref answered. End of,

No one else saw Earls lying on the ground not moving at the end and then being allowed to join play?

Its actually good reffing it's called preventative reffing and it is actively encouraged.
