A repeat of the night of Dec 11th is possible for us. Though the forcast precipitation is earlier and in smaller quantities than that night which may scupper any chances of another good covering. Fingers crossed for a white one ! Will link some photos if it happens.

Not looking forward to tomorrow and the rain & mild weather at all. Why can't it be like today at least? Never mind the snow...

Had a sleet shower here in Galway half an hour ago. Started as hail but turned to ice pellets then sleet before it stopped.
    Was nice to see anyway.

Here the far north mountains are thick and precipitation of an icy kind keeps whiting out the landscape. Perfect the beauty without the chaos.

Very Christmasy coming out from Christmas mass this evening in Donegal, (apart from the constant thunder and lightning) place was white with sleet and hail, kids making snowballs outside. Nice to see

Good to hear a few people had a white Christmas Eve anyway. Today was a miserable mild washout (down here anyway).

Sure we will start the thread up again around 1 November next and one of these years we will hit the jackpot! We are probably due it at this stage. Happy Christmas all (and to all a good night).

I think there will very soon be a new snow thread up very soon, from past experience!;) Did not see the mountains all yesterday so no idea what is happening up there.

I'm sticking to my guns. Same as most Christmas days I can remember which is a lot. Mild damp dank depressing weather. There will be tumbleweed in here next week.

    Wasn't a bad call actually.
