    Gay Byrne, criticise as you will, but one thing he did very well, was pre-position his guests. It's 10.22, and Ryan has pulled all the energy out of the show- absolutely no disrespect to the current interviewee, but this is just not good- it doesn't make me feel good, it's not entertainment, it's not proper deep interviewing, it's just a wrong way of going about things.

    Ah, come on. I hate the GAA (almost as much as the rest of the country used to hate rugby, before Ireland became good at it), but even I know who Jim McGuinness is.

    Jim McGuiness clearly has an awful lot of very interesting things to talk about.
