I never liked Paul Chowdry until he was on TM though..

Saw some of his "comedy" and he was terrible!

Fair point, and each year there's been someone who has surprised me with how good they turned out to be (Roisin Conaty, Doc Brown, Paul Chowdry & Mel)

Pleased to see Mark Watson onboard for the next series.

He previously presented an Edinburgh Festival and BBC Four Series 'We Need Answers' with Alex Horne and Tim Key (who are also part of Taskmaster, obviously).

That show was quite similar in some ways - lots of silly celebrity tasks. Needed more Greg Davies, and I think it worked better as a Live Show.

Enjoyed the series overall but definitely the weakest so far.
Didn't think I would like Mel but she wasn't the worst.
I felt sorry for Hugh, Greg didn't give him an inch.
A brilliant show no matter who is on it, Greg and Alex work so well together.
Noel was far more reserved than I expected.
    Next season lineup sounds great..

I think Lolly was the worst throughout all 4 series. She was just awful. Only funny bit she was involved in was the bathtub & clingfilm challenge.

Agreed, she was terrible. I liked the other 4 though.

That's the Line Up for the American version of Taskmaster.

Reggie Watts (Beatbox Comedian, James Corden's Sidekick) is their Taskmaster. Alex Horne hops over to be his assistant.

The contestants are Lisa Lampanelli, Freddie Highmore, Ron Funches, Dillon Francis, and Kate Berlant.

Comedy Central USA are filming it next month. I don't know if Dave or any other UK station will show it here.

Reggie is very funny, although he's not like Greg Davies.

Lisa Lampanelli is an absolute earache and a total pain to watch. Saw her on the US Celebrity Apprentice years ago and remember she was a total d*ck and totally unfunny.

The rest I can't say I've heard of outside of Alex and Reggie. Reggie is great and will definitely be a different vibe to Greg.

Ron Funches should be good. Have seen him on that @midnight show a good few times.

It's going to be a different vibe entirely. I like Reggie Watts, but it'll be weird not seeing Greg Davies as the Taskmaster, but at least Alex Horne is still there.

Ron Funches is great and enough of a draw for me to give it a fair chance, but what the f*** is Freddie Highmore doing there? I would never have associated him with comedy. Can't say I've heard of the other three.

Freddie Highmore is a bizarre one!

My biggest concern at the minute is the potential Americanisation of the show to fit other US TV shows. Are we going to be subjected to a lot more cuts to ad breaks, where they then show clips of what's going to happen within the next 5 minutes, either spoiling things or making them seem like bigger things than they are? Or drawn-out entrances for the celebs walking out onto the stage or other such nonsense?

I did trawl Youtube trying to find chat show interviews where he was funny.

    Failed.

Maybe this will do him good and bring him out of his shell, or something.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Last episode was probably the best imo. Hilarious when they were made eat their own sandwich. Overall was probably the worst series so far but still up there with one of the best things on tv! Agree qith the poster who said that Hugh got absolutely no leeway during the series.

There's a good few outtakes up on youtube. I love how irrationally angry Mel is in this one :pac:

Alex's carpet snake song is great too.

I've watched all the previous series twice now, my favourite show on telly. Still hasn't topped Joe Wilkinson potato-gate though.

Where can you watch the old ones? Doesn't seem to be on All4? Want to get the wife to watch them before the new series starts.

It's on the UKTV Play catch up service, was originally shown on Dave.

I'm not enjoying this group as much as previous ones, their approaches are all quite similar eg; the live task in Ep2
    three people drawing a carrot

Yer man Nish is possibly the most annoying person they've ever had on it. Sally is the one who's made me laugh most so far.
