Had some Lymph nodes removed last week+got the all clear this morning. All set for mastectomy on good friday- looking forward to getting rid of this f**Ker!! :-)

Soooooo happy and relieved for you! Another step done. Well done and congrats!!!!

I ended up in hospital and was told I have some small blood clots on my lungs. Have to take a daily injection to thin the blood.
Has this ever happened anyone else? Did the clots just go away then?

Got the news on Friday that mastectomy was successful, they got all the cancer+ I don't need radiotherapy.

Of course I'm thrilled but I feel very strange- like it's all just sinking in now. It's hard to get to grips with everything I've gone through this past 7 months. Hopefully this will pass very soon+ I can start to really enjoy life with my gorgeous baby :-)

Aw Leogirl I'm SOOOO delighted for you. That's the best news. Was the recovery ok after your surgery? Delighted you don't need the radiotherapy! Congratulations - you have really been through the mill the last few months.

As for me - I had my CT last week and have another scan on Friday. Am back with the consultant on 25th.......and I'm shi***ng it! It's funny I have been so laid back through all of this. Wasn't nervous starting the chemo or anything and recently every little twinge I feel terrifies me!
For me it was ovarian cancer and I can't stop feeling my tummy and every bump I feel I'm scared is cancer. I hope once I get the results the worry will go away. They are not expecting to find anything because my cancer was caught so early and the surgery did remove it all.......but there's always the worry. :(

I have a feeling I'll be exactly the same- for many years. I don't worry day to day but I know every test will worry me. I'm sure you'll be just fine, we both will :-)

The recovery was much easier than expected. I was up+ showered the next day, showered+.dressed+ walking the hospital by the following day. I really wasn't too bad. It's quite sore now, probably from overdoing it a bit but I know it'll get easier. I'm feeling quite low in myself but I kinda expected that. The reality of the past few months is slowly sinking in. Cancer, New baby+ relationship breaking up- its a lot to take on in just 7 months.

Life will go on+ soon I can be a proper mum+ enjoy looking to the future. Funny how while in the midst of it all I just couldn't see past the present day!! I think I was just concentrating on getting through each day. Onwards+upwards now though :-)

Wow Leogirl I didn't know about your relationship breaking up. I'm so sorry. All of those things are tough enough on their own but to be dealing with it altogether!
At least you know you can get through ANYTHING now! :-)

And that there's finally light at the end of the tunnel.

Sorry, I tend to not go near PI any more but I just want to wish all the newer cancer survivors the best of luck - I had chemo back in 2006 when I was 32 and then surgery (esophageal cancer) - my life is busy with my 4 and 6 year old children so less time for Boards than I used to :p. I forgot the chemo, my spouse still remembers, I have long hair now and can wear the hats again that I used to wear when I lost mine for chemo - it changes you and I know that I felt a duty to help others through this which I do elsewhere. Best wishes.

Can't believe it. Just got the all clear from my oncologist today! Reading back on my original post is so emotional. I actually did it!!!
My CT was clear and I'll be back in 6 months for another follow up but he doesn't see there being any issues!

Thanks for all the support and I hope you are all keeping well!

You ladies are so brave and strong. It's wonderful to see.

I'm so happy you both got the all clear, and that Cathy has recovered.

    You're all fantastic, seriously.

I've been kind of weird since I was told its gone. It's really hard to accept + not freak out about everything. I think once I get my strength back+ can look after my baby properly I'll start to get some routine+ normality.

We've had quite a journey Dreamstar xxx

I'm not even sure if anyone still follows this thread or if anyone will read it.
I was just reading back over it and remembering my cancer journey a few years back. It's very emotional looking back but thankfully I've been so lucky and come through the other side.

I guess I just wanted to post in case anyone reads it and is going through what I did. It's good to hear and focus on positive stories.

I got the all clear from my ovarian cancer in April 2016 and amazingly found out in the May I was pregnant. I had never thought I'd be able to conceive naturally. He is now 1 and a half and I also have a little baby girl now too. It's amazing what has happened in such a short space of time. I've come through it with two little miracle babies.
