Helped my mother today with her renewal. Best I could get was 410 fully comp on a 1.2 fiesta. That was after spending half the morning online and ringing around. Convinced that was the best she could get. I left for work and ten mins later she texts me saying she got it for 360. I'm gonna leave all my renewals to her now :pac:

First ever policy was thru quinns, a 1.1L ford fiesta, provisional licence = 2,200 punts!! Shocking.

That's sickening, think I paid around 850-900 GBP for my first insurance on a mk1 astra 1.3 sport.

Not really was still around 700 gbp on a cavalier v6 12 years later, technically at time of moving over here it was cheaper to insure car over here (690 euro) lol

    Gone silly since though.

The two above are a great comparison.
The diesel is much more to insure, the drivers are very alike, hardly a location thing causing that much of a change?

Getting quoted in Longford and Dublin made a huge difference to me as a young male driver, I think it was almost 700 pound in the difference, not sure if its still the same.

you'd think challengemaster would be a lot cheaper considering he has 6 years ncb vs the 3.

I'm convinced actuaries just pull the figures out of their arse.

You can add on another 10% because I got a discount for having a multi policy. I put my parents on as named drivers and that knocked off another € 200

That's not too bad considering the cheapest I could get when we first moved over was £1200 on a 03 Fiesta. There's a decent markup for being foreign.

Seems like i've done really well in comparison to all the other quotes, had been insuring through cornmarket with Royal Sun Alliance for the last 4 years, but this year they wanted 404 or something and I thought i'd ring another company! Glad i did!
