There's someone in my job who drives a MG ZT not a bad looking car at all pretty rare these days and it's well kept.

But I can't help but want to ask him why oh why.

It's not a v6 but he's v6 badges stuck on it ok fair enough personal choice, he also religiously stick red tape along the bottom of the front bumper for a style choice again fair enough.

But in the back of it he has an awful looking m power badge it just makes no sense to me at all.

    Each badge adds +5 hp.

    Duh. :P

Forgot to mention this before, but the amount of private bus operators that break the speed limit on motorways is mad! By law minibuses and coaches are limited to 100km/h on motorways. The tacho records all the various speeds done and when. If said tacho is inspected, and the speed has gone over 100km/h the driver is in trouble. We were cruising at 98km/h, yet the vast majority of other buses overtook us. Two or three gained about a meter a minute on us, and were literally one side of us for 5 minutes at one stage, which was kind of pointless.... Others passed us fairly quick so must have been going a good bit faster.

Does a car speedometer not overread by 10%? That would mean you were doing c.90km/h so a bus doing 100 would easily overtake you.
Also why would you be driving at 90 on a motorway unless you were driving a bus!

Does that rule only apply to a bus with passengers on board?

It's illegal under EU regulations for a speedo to indicate a lower than actual speed. They're allowed to read high by 10% of actual speed, plus 6 km/h for cars, and 8 km/h for motorcycles. You'll find most of them are calibrated nice and high so the manufacturer doesn't have to put up with a load of horseshít lawsuits about speeding fines. :D

I don't believe so. There's also a blanket speed limit of 65 km/h for buses designed to carry standing passengers.

Just looking at the post a picture of your car thread got me thinking.

Dies anyone know an easy way to play your ipod in an e60? Can't see an aux anywhere.

The e90 had a nicely placed aux port beside a lighter port so could be charged and played. Radio does drive me mad.

Yep. I've literally no idea what to replace it with, if anything. I used do 350/400 miles a week. Now I live in dublin and it only gets used very rarely, drive home to clare or the odd trip around dublin!

It's not the Estoril blue one on carzone, no?

Did you try in the centre storage area under the armrest? That's where the Aux In is on the E92, just beside the 12 volt input.

Yeah on one hand I'm doing fewer miles so could justify a petrol, on the other hand my costs/mile would go through the roof! I'm not really keen on spending fortunes on tax/depreciation for an ornament in the driveway!

It's in the centre console in the middle of the back seat in my 08 e60.

Mightnt be as much if an ornament though if you had one sitting there you wanted to drive. Both great cars to drive and lots of smiles per gallon.

Either or do as givido said and buy a fun little hot hatch.

Yeah, I suppose the best way to describe it would be where the ashtray in the back was on older cars.

Lol you had me doubting myself there for a minute but I checked. Its dead centre in it and there is fan blowers either side and dials for turning the air conditioning up or down.
