Im really really trying to get into monster hunter world but all i seem to be doing is running around picking flowers and following some green insecty thing to guide me to my next encounter, pretty boring so far but ill give it a few hours atleast as im hoping ill be rewarded with a decent loot/grind experience that hear it does very well.

Been playing Insurgency Sandstorm recently. Very good game for those looking for a realistic FPS and away from the sillyness of COD and battlefield.

Still trying to get Assassins Creed: Syndicate complete. It seems to be never ending. Decent game though in fairness and dont want to just blast through for the sake of completing. As with all AC games there is alot of side stuff going on.
Undecided between Monster Hunter: World or Tom Clancy Wildlands next???

i am insanely hooked on this kenshi game, i refunded it when i first got it and then was ehh maybeee. and now i cant stop playing it. It's a weird mix of rts rpg and city building with people management and training set in a ninja post apocalypse setting its not for everyone but feck im hooked.

I've been playing a lot of RoE lately. It's equal parts infuriating and fun.
The fact that you have to adjust vertical sensitivity to be 1:1 is so stupid, and playing squads can be painful if you get a bad squad, but I enjoy the movement and the gun play quite a lot.
The gun play isn't anywhere near PUBG, but I feel the fast pased movement of the game kinda makes up for that a fair bit, and the current winter map has the fun chouces of zip lines, snowboards or hand gliders which is intersting in itself.

I don't know if i'd pay for it right now, but for a free early access game, I've enjoyed it.

Pretty much the same as me. Played it for around 8 hours yesterday, trying to build up my base and not get slaughtered. Have a team that can not get killed by starving bandits now, which is a big step up from where i was :pac:

same here i traped from the border lands to a spot i found in the hook zone managed to walls up and got a big band of slavers outside my base managed to fend them off with 5 guys but i eventually got over run by weird bug men there went my hashish empire dreams. Check out the sandbox training mod it's pretty good

I bought a house in a Shek city, have 12 dudes and 1 animal for carrying trade goods. I have half my team out mining copper and iron, fourth on crafting and fourth on training. I shift between who is training / mining to keep everyone skills in combat similar but most people have a designated job now. I have 150k along with a BUNCH of resources horded up in what is now my overcrowded town house so I think I'll build my own base tonight :)

Research wise I am up to tier 5 bench. I recommend making chain mail sheets as they sell for a nice profit even if your buying the steam you need to make them. Good for leveling an armorer too :)

    Edit:
But there is still loads I haven't tried yet, like farming, setting up a shop, attacking a large camp / settlement. I haven't even explored more then 10% of the map Id say. Its massive :O

i managed to get martial arts to like 70 on one guy and you wreck people with it. that said i did use training mods this play through after my week long base got destroyed and i restarted. Q_Q
I have been running around the great desert knocking people out and selling them for 400 caps on my perception robot ninja it's great. I cant wait for a full on star wars over haul, already some great star wars mods on the workshop.

Spent the last few days just getting mods together for a revisit.

Could you be so kind in pointing me towards a place that is a source for NV mods? I bought it a while back to satisfy my atom bomb fix and found it incredibly stuttery.

    Black Mesa is kinda amazing.
Enemy AI is ridiculous though, really hard to survive even on Normal difficulty.

loads of mods here - https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas

There's a link at the top of that page to install Vortex, this is a mod manager and a really useful tool.

Have a look at https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/8mpwch/fallout_new_vegas_essential_mods/ for a list of mods deemed essential.

If you're planning on installing a large mod (e.g. New California) be sure to check their docs for compatible/incompatible mods.

So after finishing Ryse: son of Rome next game I completed was ... Ryse: Son of Rome.

This time I did it on Legendary difficulty which if I'm honest wasn't that much of a jump.
Played a bit of the Arena stuff too.
    Really enjoyable.

    Back playing Warhammer 2.
Started a new Mortal Empires campaign with Grombrindal!

After a long break I've gone back to R6 Siege. Still as fresh as ever and incredible fun to play.

Also playing Motorsport Manager and the odd Dota 2/Blops 4 game. Tried Pubg again over Christmas but can't believe how trash the game still is 12 months after 'release'

Yeah it one of those games that you wouldn't feel 5-8 hours just fly by lol.

It's a fantastic game, that i can never get past the mid game section. Something always annoys me in my playthrough and i have to start again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,122 ✭✭✭killanena

I used to feel the same way about games like stellaris. Where things starting going very wrong or get very messy and I'd just quit and start again but if it wasn't for stuff going wrong and tidying up the mess and bouncing back from it, you loose half the fun I find.

Just checked, turns out i was on it for 5 hrs. With a few breaks to make tea have grub etc.

I was playing ST:New Horizons mod last week but i think i made the mistake of having to many empires on the board. Was a bit ridiculous,no space to expand at all so last night i restarted vanilla just to get a better sense of the game before i start modding it. I will definitely return to the ST mod, other than not setting it up right the bit i played was so polished, fair play to the modders.
