Went back to Fallout: New Vegas after the ultimate edition was like €12 and I saw an article on PC Gamer with the best mods for it at the moment. Literally can't stop playing. For a game that is a decade old it's absolutely incredible.

God, I just found that list. That's another 100 hours of my life gone to F:NV.

Thank you so much - it's my favourite game and you've just given it a new lease of life for me.

I've been playing the division for the past year.

it's had a tough existence one I fully understand but one I really enjoy too.

Anyone tried Super Galaxy Squadron EX since the free Turbo DLC last week? My eyes are still watering from the sheer amount of multi-coloured bullets at once.

I am back playing Skyrim. I had loads of hours on it on my previous laptop but that one bit the dust and I was unable to retrieve my data. So I'm starting over on my new laptop.

Warframe - The grind never ends. Forma'd Volt Prime again. I've fully committed him to being FAST. He's moves like the Doom guy now. The clan came in top 10% on the latest event and was rewarded gold statue for our dojo. Can't believe that since we barely even tried. I suppose the Warbros magic lives on in us at least just a little bit. Warbos #1

Just started playing Warframe, very addictive, currently MR6. I'm still surprised it's F2P...good craic being a space ninja though and its easy enough to get a group as a SP

I've also come into a bit of a lull in games so I went back to skyrim, but this time the special edition. Loads of mods, fresh start and i'm hooked again. Still a good looking game too..

Metal Gear Solid 5: the Phantom Pain.
Hit a wall in it a while ago and decided to get back into it. Have not the foggiest whats happening story wise....

Mid-way through and not much has changed. I am loving the story but it's basically a point-and-click adventure with a few choices. Starting to grate just a little.

Doesn't help that I'm not a fan of turn-based combat.

Got so bored with this that I packed it in and decided I needed to play an actual old-skool RPG.

Loaded up Neverwinter Nights 2 and 15 hours in haven't looked back.

Mafia 3: How bad can it be I said, Ill give it a go I said. I can get it for about 12 euro. How wrong I was. Is it just me or is it a bit of a mess?? Graphics are poor and control system not great on my system any way...

I found the graphics to be funny as well considering it was such a big download. Like compared to GTA V.

What GTA game I can compare it to is GTA IV on Xbox One as it has the same dull graphics. Like instead of having bright graphics like V, IV and Mafia III is like playing in fog is all I can describe it.

I'm completely sucked into Total War Warhammer. My first Total War game and I'm a fan of Games Workshop for over 20 years. Picked it up in the Humble Monthly deal and just splashed for the DLC for it cause I really want to give the other races a go. And we've had the sequel announced too which looks fun.

I've recently finished Dying Light and now getting stuck into The Following DLC. I'm really loving this game. Its just a lot of fun to play and probably the best zombie game in the market.

I'm also replaying Far Cry 3. I've found it a little more boring compared to when I initially played it just after it's release. It's a pretty good example of the "Ubisoft formula" and the game hasnt aged as well because of that.

Just finished Wolfenstein: The Old Blood as I played TNO shortly after release.

Just started Rage as I had a hankering for another shooter and it was in my steam list. At first, it seemed a little like an Ubisoft formula game but it's actually not boring. So far, anyway.

I'm still playing Skyrim but dipping into the first Witcher. Very enjoyable but hard to get used to a different set of commands and gameplay :D

Took a sabbatical from Call of Duty for a while, think IW did a good job on their version of zombies, but the spark just isn't there for the multiplayer. And that's coming from someone who loved BO3.

Bought the Witcher 3 recently, and I have to ask, where the hell has this been all my life? Easily the most enthralling storyline I've ever played, even without any prior knowledge of the lore (I hadn't played the first two games). The characters are so well written that I fell in love with all of them - having to choose between
Trish and Yennefer as your love interest
killed me on my first playthrough. Even the two DLC's are amazing - Blood & Wine felt like an entire knew game and really felt like value for money, which is extremely rare from any DLC. 150+ hours, multiple playthroughts and a platinum trophy later and I must give kudos to CD Projekt Red, they did absolutely everything right as a game studio.

Also platinum'ed Far Cry Primal recently, and while I enjoyed the gameplay, it really feels like a rinse and repeat of the previous titles, with less relatable characters (quite understandably) and less grasping storyline. I was a huge fan of Far Cry 3 (Vaas was a masterpiece of a character), so I was a little let down at this installment. That's not to say however that I didn't enjoy it.

I as playing Watchdogs, The Witcher and Shadow of Mordor at the same time. Had to focus on one as the control schemes fcked me over moving from one to the other :pac:

Nearly finished Mass Effect Andromeda. Such a chore the whole way through. More than a few times I've rolled my eyes as I rock up to a 'navpoint' (a term I've learned to despise) for a quest only to realise it's just another breadcrumb of a list of breadcrumbs for that particular side quest. Some of these breadcrumb style quests span over seperate planets too meaning cutscenes, travel, loading screens and driving 3 to 4 times over just to make sure some bloke you met in a bar has his 3 crates of lost medical supplies back.

The characters surrounding you are nearly all completely dull and uninspiring. Hard to believe it's the same studio that made the original trilogy which, for all its faults at the ending, was full of interesting characters, story-lines and quests. Can't say that in any way for the latest offering.

Such a disappointment and a pre-order sting for me. Once bitten, twice shy in future.

I can't agree with that to be honest (obviously, my opinion and all that). Some of the side quests are actually pretty decent. Not up to the Witcher, but definitely better than previous games. And some of the characters are great. Drack, Vetra and Peebee are great, and Jaal isn't bad either. The humans are humans in Mass Effect games...largely bland and uninteresting. Some of the banter between the various characters while driving around in the Nomad is quite funny as well.

It does have plenty of stupid fetch quests, but i can handle those. Overall, i really enjoy it.

Don't know how you can say that about Humans in Mass Effect personally. Miranda, Illusive Man, Joker, Jack, Anderson and even Kelly Chambers all had some charisma and interesting back stories worth exploring.

And even then the likes of Drack, Vetra, Peebee and Jaal don't come close to the likes of Garrus, Wrex, Thane and of course Mordin Solus.

Obviously it's a matter of opinion and I'm jealous of you for finding joy in ME:A but for me the character depth and back stories of the original trilogy make a mockery of the latest batch.

    FEAR 3.

Ugh, the Alien 3 of the series. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 974 ✭✭✭Remouad

Huge fan of the Mass effect series which is why I'm not playing andromeda... yet!
Going to wait until it's patched up as much as it can be.

In the meantime I'm mainly playing Total War: Warhammer. Always been a fan of both franchises (have fond memories of Dark Omen and SOTHR) so was really excited when this was announced. Gave me the push I needed to build a gaming rig. :D
Played Single player only on previous total wars but going to give the Multiplayer a go with this one.

I played some Guild Wars 2 for the first time as a human thief, fun! Also some Trails in the Sky on steam, planning on replaying it (played it on psp before) as I want to buy Trails in the Sky SC on steam.

Playing a small bit of Doom the odd time(It's a excellent game but I can only play it in short sessions so at this rate I will finish it in a few months time) and started Yooka Laylee, it is a excellent game but I had a few hick ups at the beginning with bad frame rate turns out it doesn't like Freesync. Turned that off and it plays smooth, bit of an odd one considering it is usually the other way round games are only smooth with it on.

When I game its usually TW Atilla. Lately I've spent a lot of time playing TW Atilla: The Last Roman addon. The DLC for it called "Empires of Sand" is awesome. Unlike the Celtic DLC, Empires of Sand has a lot of unique faction specific units and very distinct looking factions like Axum and Himyar (the only Jewish faction).

However historically Ive found that some of the TW games are more prone to crashing to desktop than other games I've played. TW Atilla is much less so than previous releases but it does happen sometimes. I find that The Last Roman addon for TW Atilla seems to me to run much smoother animation-wise than TW Atilla itself, which I find can slow to a crawl when thousands are involved in a siege battle against a large walled city.

I got sniper ghost warrior 3, ran into loads of bugs already and at one point it wouldn't run, It would telling me it was running in steam but I was in game, so I had too validate files or something and that sorted it, annoying!

Have you experienced any of the mad loading times some reviewers have encountered?

    I haven't no, that's mainly on consoles I think.
