I hate the way Duffy assumes Ireland are in a better position than Greece when we are in fact from a debt point of view in a worse position, Ireland is like a 65 year old madman who is bankrupt celebrating getting a 2nd unaffordable mortgage he wiill be repaying over 200 years.

but we have money in the atms:D

I would say on a night out in Dublin less than 50% of the pubs I would go to would give me a receipt.

If the Greeks think that they are being screwed by the EU, why do they want to stay in the EU?

Great; bring up the spectre of a world war. Just what's needed.

It's not the Vietcong Joe that caused the trouble in Greece.

Because they want to get more money that they don't have to pay back.

If they lose the vote I can see Varoufakis jumping on his motorbike and doing a wheelie outside the houses of parliament before setting off in to the sunset.

We're in great condition compared to Greece, there's no comparison.

Dont tell Joe what to talk about

Joe knows what to talk about. It isn't always what the callers want to talk about of course.

We owe €60k a head, they owe €40k a head, we are borrowing more than we take in and the future looks like this will continue for decades, that would be a worse position in my view.

They'll be split Joe when the kids and mothers are brought to the concentration camp, like these 2 expect Joe.

Does she not realise it's the Greek gubberment that called the referendum, not the EZ?

Not good enough, people like Cowen, Bertie and Noonan are required now to run Greece.

this EEC reparations lad reminds me of the George Burns quote :

"Too bad that all the people who know how to run the country are busy driving taxicabs and cutting hair"
