They picked her because of the specific vehicle she was in.

Notice they say the van entered right on their tail.

A lot of new car owners rely on their proximity key to lock the vehicle

These chancers operate by following then parking right next to their marks.

They actually open the door of the car as the owner is very close to it walking away
