Ffs, your cutting the grass with your residents assoc. Fee.

The management company use the money to pay for insurance on the block, put money aside for when things need replacing (lights, carpets, etc) towards painting the common areas and external buildings, refuse car parking access and gate maintenance. Lift maintenance You've block insurance, you've public liability and then you need a sinking fund for when bigger stuff like the roof needs to be repaired because the cowboy who built it was as gombeen .

Someone needs to slap Joe duffys researchers on the head.

they also issue a/cs to each of the residents every year explaining all this

I'd love to know how much her insurance is in Russia, with some of the dashcam videos I have seen it must be massive.

Thats her first mistake, everybody knows you apply the opposite understanding to any goverment statement.

    <short term insurance>
Er, yes you could, but it would take a bit of finding, or a broker with a clue.

I'll ask agaiin..... what on earth is the point of this call

Is she just on to moan, or does she want someone to do something for her, or what?:confused:

Here missus, what's wrong with The Chieftans ("I'd listen to The Chieftans - just only for a few minutes, though")

She's moaning about Inda telling her to come home yet all these barriers are in the way

This is the story of every Irish person who ever lived abroad.

I lived in Germany years ago, should I ring in with my cultural experiences?

Have to drive my car out of Russia once a year for a few hours...

Can't always travel with my visa...

Ehhh that doesn't sound like a normalised situation.

If she has been given a €4000 quote here then she either has a bad past history or she just hasn't shopped around. I spent 8 years in Africa and got insurance staright away when I came back. Paid €1400 for a 2.0l car the first year, paid €500 the second.

We're not being told the whole truth here I think.

Why do people come on using acronyms that pretty much no ordinary person would ever hear of.

Philip should retell the story about Saint Bernadette with the lapsed insurance that crashed into the off duty Garda.
She had no insurance and all was forgiven because she was such a nice honest lady!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,464 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

That would mean the residents would have to turn up to the meetings in the first place.

But they have kids, so they can't.

Sensible caller, making sense - whod've thunk?

Democracy in action, but it doesn't suit.

OH MY GOD...the fees are not in question...do the basic maths

    Fees are 1500

they pay 600 a year...for five years they are now 4500 in arrears and growing...where does it stop?

The lad next door is paying 1500 and those pair are getting the same services for 600.

Does the whisky and beer flow before these Funny Friday shows to oil up the audience to be merry?

3pm! The boredom of recent weeks is over. The joys of misery and text polls will be back on Tuesday. We can't wait. :)

The boredom of Philip's 3 week snoozefest is going to be eclipsed tomorrow by the c^ntfu*kerry that is Funny Fryday.

It's like Joe firstly inserted a knitting needle down our collective metaphorical Jap's Eye for 14 days, then withdrew it and inserted a hot poker in its place for the week end.

And all for a measly €360k a year.....
