1st massive elevated tee box, you need a decent hit to get the the bottom, and from there a short par 5. Don't be right... trees

2nd tight enough fairway, be straight and a decent tee shot will leave you a shortish iron in to elevated green

3rd, short par 4 uphill, tight fairway again, got to be straight, slight left to right shape, not quite a dogleg

4th, open longish par 4, could be anything from a 3 iron to a 7, depends on tee position and wind!

5th, similar to first, big drop down to fairway below, keep it on the right side

6th, back up the hill, keep left

7th, keep well right, left will most likely find trouble, right might catch the hill and leave you with a short par 5

8th, one of the harder holes, to fat right is big trouble, left is not good, really one you have to be straight on

9th, short par 4, but again up a hill, keep left

10th, slight dogleg left to right, if you are to straight you might run out of fairway and into trouble.. keep as left as you dare, but not easy with a tight tee box

Cross the road... no more trees, now it's gorse!! lock the gates!

11th par 3, probably longer than you think up the hill

12th par 5, downhill, then back uphill, good hole but a pretty wide fairway,, probably right side give you a bit of room as there are a couple of trees if you are not long enough off the tee could interfere with your second shot

13th another par 5, blind tee shot. keep well right. with your second shot, keep well right. did i say, keep well right????

14th... nearest the pin. class par 3, down the hill

back over the road... lock the gates behind you

15th be brave, go hight and left over the trees to leave a short one in for your second. if you don't want to cut the corner, don't hit driver, you will be to long

16th dinky little par 3, the shortest, but totally elevated green so you won't be able to see the cup, pin will be waiving at you though

17th. a monster. par 4 where a 5 will be like gaining a shot on the field. keep left

18th, probably Longest Drive, another slight dogleg, right to left, right side on this hole will have you looking in, left will have you in more trees!

Guys, sure as hell I will forget to tell you next week, but there is very little out of bounds. If you are over a fence, it is not OB. climb over and play your ball as it lies. If the fence interferes, take relief, not nearer the hole, on the side of the fence your ball lies

Hey Steve, I think there are a couple of holes where there will be a line of white stones (the far side of the fence) beyond which is OOB

Great notes Seve, couldn't fault them bar 2 minor typo's.
    4th is Par 3
10th's dogleg is right to left
But people would prob figure them out for themselves :)

Ciarana or mafc are on duty to give us the hole by hole tips for this!

But they're scratch golfers so might not be useful for us mortals ;):)

Not playing well at the minute might only manage 9 or 10 over

Anyone going out before me at 10:50 that might be able to swap tee times? I'm ok to attend but a bit tight on time. Need to be home by around 3.30pm if possible.

Forgot that the Queen is out Friday night, I'll be on wake up duty Sat morning with the kids so could do with the extra time if you want to swap.

Been dying to see mafc play - to see what is holding him back.
We are thinking of having a shot at bar before we go out. :P

    I'll be happy with 34. A top 10.

Lads - blessed with weather again.

Just back home after playing in the Thursday Open. Hadn't played the course in many years so took the opportunity to get out and get some much needed practice in.

If we do indeed get the weather we are in for a treat as the course is in great shape. Not very long but you will need your short game to be on song to score well.

Brilliant you can show me the way around so :-)

    Jaysus macker, not you too.

This pre match is becoming too prevalent.

I've no short game. So gir all the way.

No problems. I would like to think I have learned a few things today on what shots to take on and when to be a bit more strategic. :)

    Had to be done Fix........

I badly need a morale boosting performance on Saturday so as to start climbing back into contention for a Ryder Jug spot.
