Get Best back, Moore at tighthead and Jordi to 8 and that's a much more competitive looking pack. Coetze fit again? Doing damage now.

Also, McCall, Deysel and who knows? Maybe even Coetzee.

I'm more worried about our backs than our forwards next season.

Bit of chat on uafc about us signing a centre that can play 10. No names, but apparently a very good centre.

But then it's uafc so it could be a wind up.

We'll be missing Jackson, Olding, Piutau, Trimble, possibly Bowe.

    Rebuilding (c) phase ahoy.

Where the hell is Darren Cave.

Promote one of the academy players.  Worked well for all previous centres.

Think that is well document on UAFC what happened there.

Madigan or Noel Reid? Sombreros and Tequila all round in Belfast ;)

Is Trimble definitely gone? Not that it matters as he has sadly become a bit of a passenger.

But yes we are looking light in the backs.

What if Payne retires, Jackson and Olding are gone, Piutau has left and Bowe and Trimble pack it in? Cave may leave too.

    That's not a pretty picture.

What young outside backs are there in the Academy?

Rob Lyttle who is constantly injured, who else? And I mean players that can have impact on the senior squad and not just be a squad filler.

You see this is nuts (if true). Les Kiss needs to see the bigger picture.

Allegedly Kiss did not like the Cut of Caves Jib with regards to being outspoken about tactics.  Since then he has been frozen out.

Is it the alleged Irish camp incident before kiss took over in Ulster?

At this stage Cave should volunteer for one of those face transplants. His face doesn't fit with Ireland so badly that it's ruled him out of the Ulster squad?

    Bit mad.

Not even part of the Ulster A squad either.

UAFC in-the-know guy says there is a big name NIQ signed and sealed, just waiting to be announced.

Possibly a centre who can also play 10.

See Dragons are rumoured to be after Cooper now too?

His agent is selling him around pretty strongly.

Never mind the 'big name' mercenaries - what Ulster Rugby should be focusing ALL of their efforts on is getting a decent head coach.

Also talk of Henderson's IRFU contract talks not progressing well, apparently still a big gap between what the IRFU think he's worth and what he thinks he's worth. I take this with a large pinch of salt, haven't heard anything yet from anyone with a track record of reliability.

From the cryptic clues of those who usually sometimes can be in the know, I'm guessing Bernard Foley

At least it ties in with people saying berr, stable 10 and horse lover.

    Or I'm wrong!

Foley is an excellent player but he is an absolutely appalling kicker, but then Cooney and McCloskey can both kick so no biggie.

I reckon that's just people s*** stirring, at least I'm hoping that's the case.

Foley would be a fantastic signing for you guys.
Another big name for the league.

Sam Arnold justbwon MOTM for Munster against Leicester, two weeks ago Chris Farrell puts in a really strong performance for Ireland against Argentina at 13.

Both players came from the Ulster Academy (yes Arnold was an Exile initially but still came through our Academy). Meanwhile we are left with a 34 year old winger at 13.

    Frustrating to say the least.

The most frustrating thing is it isn't who we are left with but who has been chosen to play for some unknown reason.
