In my book, hypocrisy is saying "think of the children" and forgetting the abuse, physical/mental/sexual that was done on the "children" by the clergy. Or are Gay rights only for the Clergy

Lets not forget that the majority of pedophile priests were gay.
    ie, male on male

    Actually, untrue. And irrelevant.

    What would Jesus do?

Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with menURL="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%206&version=NIV#fen-NIV-28477a"]a[/URL 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were.

So God puts homosexuality on a par with drunkenness. How many of those who are so righteously morally opposed to equality have been drunk?

Because that's just as bad y'know.

Please stop making snarky comments at the ends of your posts. People aren't going to take you seriously with that kind of behaviour.

Commenting about Jesus living with his 2nd dad in heaven.....

    .... Taken seriously.....

What f*cking idiot takes any of the mumbo-jumbo seriously?

So how are you going to vote in the same sex "marriage" referendum?
Because thats basically what the referendum is,
God is against same sex marriage and if you vote yes you are basically saying God is of no consequence.

And if God is of no consequence then why should normal people ever bother getting baptised? or make communion or confirmation? or get married or have last rights.

Lets not forget all the good the cathlic church has done for this country while gays have done nothing but embarrass us.

Dont be fooled into thinking that a vote for sodomy is a civilised decision because it isnt.
If the yes side wins tomorrow and it probably will thanks to help from the media and GLEN then it will be a sin against mankind and a sin against everything our forefathers believed in.
Dont spit on the people who came before us and dont spit on God.

    Make the right decision,

And there is another one. At least he is not trying to hide what he thinks, even though it is nonsense.

Can you set an alarm to get a mail when the next thread of this nature opens up?

The problem isn't people having faith, it's okay to believe whatever you want. The issue is projecting that into society to the extent that you deny one group the same civil rights as everyone else.

It's a very harsh, cold, god that some people believe in.

Well how is and abusively drunk father too different from a raging homosexual father.
The kids going to be messed up either way. And dont try to argue that a kid with two "dads" wont be super messed up.

No, they were paedophiles - adults on children

Gay rights are different - they do not promote paedophile behaviour, that's what the Church did.

The Church trained the paedophiles, had them groom the children and then conveniently moved them to a new Parish and to a new batch of victims when they were found out.

The Church sprouting drivel about "think of the children" disgust me

Just take a look at life. Humans are very different from animals and we're all laughing at the atheist scientists as they fail to come up with an explanation for our amazing consciences and everything. Evidence of design, little boy. I'm dumbfounded if this all happened on its own.

I was confused why the OP was on my ignore list. It all makes sense now.

God was of no consequence to me before this referendum.

I'm voting NO. Because voting Yes won't get equality for everyone. Everyone has the right to marry a person of the opposite sex. A man has the right to marry a woman and vice verse. Giving people the right to marry the same sex is like someone winning €1 million in the lottery and then turning around and saying that they don't want that they want €2 million.

Another reason is that if the Yes votes win, a child having two dads could lead to confusion, bullying, embarrassment, depression and maybe suicide. I don't want that to happen to people.

    Concern for children...that's new.

Trojan Donkey? That name is perfect for a gay porn star.

It doesn't say abusively drunk though, does it?

And comparing the two is too outlandish to comment on.

Jebus. Just spotted the 'bother getting baptised' bit. Nobody bothers getting baptised. We were all too busy filling our nappies and wondering where our feet went. Hey! They're back again! Oh. No. Gone again.

    Baptism was done to us.

He'd allow gay marriage and then create a miracle where two people of the same sex can have a baby together. That would be real equality!

    There is no justification, none.

Saying there is is reminiscent of Alabama in the 40's or Apartheid era South Africa.

Then again in the New testament (Timothy):
We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. 9 We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine 11 that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

We don't know because Jesus didn't write the Bible. It was written long after his death by people who had an agenda. Without reverting to CT it is widely reported that there are other gospels that have been hidden away because they didn't match the script.

Mary Magdalene is a classic example. I recently heard an expert who reasonably explained that the only woman, that would be allowed to enter the tomb of a dead man & attend his naked body, would be his wife.

Not even one shred of evidence to support its existence yet you're going to deny your fellow citizens rights based on the off chance that it might piss him off.Plenty of good christians, better than you thats for sure, fully support gay marriage. Anyway no time for people like you, go crawl back into the religious hole you surfaced from

And the born gay babies disgusts me, theres no such thing as a gay baby.
Also looking to teach young children about gay sexual politics is disgusting,
Christians at least are against the sexualisation of children.
