If you look at most wars they're actually about land and commodities with the religious leaders emerging and stirring creating the belief that a religious war is being fought

Fought over / "in the name of" take your pick

First cut 6th June 40 acres

Slurry and 2.5 bags of cut sward out on same ground for 2nd cut.

    70 bales made

    50% farm topped

How did a silage thread turn into a war thread?

    Sorry. My fault I rekon.

No second cut needed here, just taking out paddocks as we go. About 5 bales per acre

It's a great year for it. Crops are light and stemmy in general and there's great drying out even on the overcast days with the breeze.

If I had a way of stacking them I'd be making a few

Some of our first cut aftergrass gone too strong on second round. Probably knock it tomorrow. Another paddock baled around first of May also gone stale. Half that one going in and the last paddock not to see the mower this year. Not a lot on this one but far too hairy for grazing. Drought not biting here yet. It's made a couple of attempts but we're getting bits of rain here and there that are just keeping her lit.

Damp enough down here in cork all the time, few showers threatening but only one small one so far, awkward enough to take out paddocks that need a bit of a wilt with n still in the grass.

In a fairly severe drought here.
    Winter crops have blasted in.
Gave up on irrigating grass as the temps are circa 36 to 41 every day.
Send over a drop or two of rain please...

To me its ground that has already been cut for silage. If that's not it we must be on cut 10/12 :)

too out about 6 acres of paddocks nearly 10% of my total ground. May have to take out another 4ish next weeks. About 5ish bales/acre hope to bale thursday or friday showery weather here very close . The way I look at it is that it is silage for the price of baling. After grass on silage ground(normay grass) ready to graze, not sure if I will close 3 acres of it for second cut.

Hybrd and read clover will be ready to cut for second time in 10 days time.

That's all the mowing out of the way and first Tedder run. Another tomorrow then take pit Fri am.

Crop really leafy averaging 3-4000/ha.This is going in to the pit on top if 80D 44dm silage from last yrs second cut

Have most of ours done now, have stuff down for hay as well, no rain here at all and hope it stays that way! Two more meadows after this left to cut, we've a month's feeding left from last winter as well so happily ahead of ourselves.
