I'm enjoying this show, 3 different story arcs going on together with a good supporting cast. Whovever is selecting the music for the show is awesome also.

It feels to me that Lucifer is very close to a human break down. It seems to be heading that way to me. Would be nice to see him lose his mind and go on a mad rampage, but it won't happen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

Yeah, this season is pushing more and more towards Lucifer having a break down imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,193 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Linda rather than Chloe is his anchor so far if that relationship is untenable he'd lose it altogether. I love the humanisation of Lucifers situation in the sibling rivalry with Amenadiel, the ignored separation anxiety regarding his mother and the love triangle with Pierce.

He is due a breakdown but imo he has been in the midst of one all along considering he packed up left hell and went to LA it seems a midlife crisis rather than a breakdown but they're sometimes one and the same really. The never ending quest to one up his dad and find a way to prove God is the evil manipulative bond villain pulling the strings is a good insight into what motivates him but I do think he has become a little too human in his own way with LA becoming his own time loop hell in that the more time he and Chloe spend together the more they grow apart.

That ending sets up the last part of the season well.

Maze is a great character hope she goes full on evil

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,236 ✭✭✭jigglypuffstuff

Episode 20 preview makes it look like the breakdown is imminent.

I must admit, this show is really underappreciated. Tom Ellis is a gem

Eerie usage of Phil Collins the music department on this show deserve an emmy. Tom Welling has been fantastic this season manipulative bastard.

All I can say about episode 21 can be summed up in the below picture:

I knew what he was gonna say at the dinner before he said it. Dope! But Chloe buckled quick and went from just about to say I love you to marrying him! Bit of a jump imo. Even if she was feeling bad after Lucifer being Lucifer.

Fun episode with Lucifer acting like Chloe and Dan trying to act like Lucifer

That was a good episode, it'll be nice to see Kane up against Lucifer

Dan was good the party bus driver may have been more than she seemed too, Linda is my favourite character in this sometimes, hope it gets renewal.

Yeah, the actress is too high profile just to have her as a bit part, she was in Scrubs and is in Suits

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,193 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

She wasn't in Scrubs but she was in The Hangover, Stu's bitch girlfriend.

I thought I was going mad so I had to check IMDB, Episode Cast on IMDB shows the actress is Aloma Wright who was in Scrubs

Always laugh at these parties in tv shows. The only ones to attend are the main cast members. Even in procedurals where we have episode where someone's bets friend who we never met turns up, yet where were they for all the big moments?
And if the bus was spur of the moment, where did they get the tshirts?

    Wow excellent episode...just phenomenal

The last 10 minutes are something else!

Who called Decker :( Jebus heartbroken after that episode

Some great TV there, something in my eye.....

I'm assuming she got the call from the precinct, being a homicide detective.
I was wondering why she was still at the house for so long after the killer was caught. Since she was still there in the time it took for Charlotte to get to that spot and I assume processing had to be done in the house. All while Lucifer stood outside.
And it's kinda annoying me how Lucifer keeps saying he can't prove who he is, yet he was able to reveal his wings to Charlotte.

    Season finale next week

    He's human around 'The Detective'.

Not sure if it is her ignorance or just some god related kill switch Decker just doesn't accept Lucifer is the devil, maybe it is this lack of belief or maybe Decker is a celestial anchor for human mortality.

The premise of the show is that it's more than her ignorance. She was a miracle baby and is special.

She did make Maze a little more human while they lived together too, seems to be a very unspoken rule here Decker has an effect on some of the characters. Lucifer hasn't revealed himself to Dan or Lopez neither next week's episode can't come soon enough I really hope this show goes on for a few more seasons.

They shot another 2 stand alone episodes that will air in season 4 if greenlit, they have some amount of confidence :D

Episode 23 has it all - looks like a it will be a great season finale

Season 4 doesn't look great with the current ratings - on the bubble, surprising given the sharp witty writing.

Love the episode title Battlestar Galactica tribute even more now, show has kept me engrossed all season long next season needs to see God on Earth facing off with Lucifer.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the show has about the biggest presence on social media at the moment. More than stuff like The Waking Dead so that might swing it.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Only thing that counts as far as US TV is concerned is viewers=advertising

Numbers are down this season a lot

If I remember correctly, he has shown his devil face in the vicinity of her before and we've seen him use his "Desire" trick around her lots of times.

Oh, that's true. Perhaps limited rather than full human.

    A shame

Haven't even finished airing the season, and what about the 2 extra eps. Hope they have the decency to at least provide them for viewing.

Hmmm, might be this season's Timeless, cause Timeless is not going to be this season's Timeless, no siree bob.

Gutted... this is the only thing I actually watch

I wish fox had handed it over to Netflix

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,308 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I'll admit I found the show a less light hearted this season but still a shame to see it go.

Yet the same network may renew a series where they fired their main actor in Lethal Weapon. That would be really annoying.

This is the problem with Fox; they order great series and end up fecking them up over and over again :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,236 ✭✭✭jigglypuffstuff

Can it be picked up by other networks?

I wonder would the CW pick it up. They show a lot of Warner brothers/ DC shows already.

I doubt it'll be on the level of a dragon attacking but seems the finale will involve

Hope it does get picked up somewhere else. Love that show, cant praise it enough.

WB could pick it up for their DC streaming service but I'm not sure how likely that is.
