We'd two weanlings in Tullamore today.
Two bulls. An MBP Lim out of a BAX cow , 10 1/2 mths old, 480kgs, E1370.
Another Lim near 13mths old 485kgs, E1320. Good money for two real good bulls.

Is anyone else really tight on grass at the moment? Don't think we have ever had so little at the start of June, still haven't managed to close any ground for silage either and everywhere is swimming with all the rain. The back end of the year would want to be good!

Yup, add to that the single lambs have a dose of orf so I can't let them to the hill where there's loads of grass. All furze will die roaring this year

Bloody weather. Brought all of the calves back in today. One minute it was sunny but breezy and next it was absolutely pouring and of course there were 5 stubborn little gits who ran away every single time.

Finally got them all in. We were soaked straight to the skin!

Somehow the neighbour had built up five calves to dehorn and tag for me to do as I was helping during his test today. Had the calves all penned together and was fierce proud of himself......incl three white ch hfs that could be triplets looking at them.
Arsebiscuits. I hope I tagged them right!!
