Ethiopian's times are perfect for people wanting to maximise their time in LA. I'd take them in a heartbeat over a mid-afternoon arrival as seen with the EI SFO service...

So the stops start when? In the morning?

If we assume FR24 is wrong then that's due at DUB at 4:50. But FR24 says it stops at DUB starting tomorrow so I'm not too sure.

The DAA website says it starts on May 10. If they mean the flight that lands on May 10, it's that flight there. If they mean the flight that leaves ADD on May 10, it's tomorrow's (May 11) flight.

I guess we'll find out in a little while.

The schedule change is effective May 10th, so that means the flights that depart on May 10th.

First Washington flight will arrive in Dublin on Monday May 11th at 04:50, and first Toronto flight arrives on Tuesday May 12th at 05:00.

I'm kind of surprised that they're not listed on the Dublin Airport live arrivals/departures page.

    Why would they be?

They are not using the terminals and their facilities at all. They're purely refuelling stops.

1st benefit of their new tech stop was the delivery through Dublin of their latest 737-800 ET-AQO which arrived as ET9201 from IAD.

ADD-DUB-LAX is that only flight actually 'serving' Dublin. So it will be the only one to show up on the arrivals/depts info

That's the LAX route, no? YYZ seems to be operated by 787s and that should arrive in DUB on Tuesday morning.

This has all been posted several times already in the Dublin Airport New Runway/Infrastructure thread and the Ethiopian ADD-DUB-LAX thread.

To summarise it as people keep asking the same questions:

All days and dates below are the days and dates that the aircraft arrives/departs Dublin:

    Transit Stops:
ET500 Addis Ababa - Dublin - Washington arrive DUB 04:50, depart 05:50 daily effective Mon 11 May
    A/C - B777-200LR until 21 June; B777-300ER from 22 June

ET502 Addis Ababa - Dublin - Toronto arrive DUB 05:00; depart 06:00 TuThSa effective Tue 12 May
    A/C - B787 until June 30; B777-200LR from July 2

    Passenger Stops:
ET504 Addis Ababa-Dublin-Los Angeles arrive DUB 05:00; depart 06:15 MoThSa effective 20 June
    A/C B787

ET505 Los Angeles-Dublin-Addis Ababa arrive DUB 18:30; depart 19:45 TuFrSu effective 21 June
    A/C B787

I'd have thought the DAA would take any opportunity to showcase passenger aircraft arriving and departing the airport. Look busy and all that.

Most passengers won't care and, more importantly, it would add clutter to something that needs to be as concise as possible.

That information is provided primarily to aid people meeting arriving flights and anyone going on a flight.

Why would you potentially confuse people with information about flights that don't have any passenger interaction with the airport.

    1st flight was ETH500 was operated by ET-ANN 777-260LR

Landed in this morning and spotted them sitting on on the west apron, (6ish) was surprised as didn't realise that both would be B787 (silly me)
Had a bad window so no shots but it was lovely to see the splash of colour on a grey EIDW morning.

    Should be one 777 and a 787 but they sub the 777 with a 787 a lot.

If I've read this correctly, ET offer 2x23kg checked in bags free in Economy on the LAX route which is extremely generous.

It's a bit confusing but you could be right. In case anyone is travelling with them in the future, beware that they are (or used to be at least) very very strict on hand luggage - to the extent that they would insist on one piece and weigh it at the boarding gate. Their hand luggage limit is 7kg. It'll be no problem to those of us used to the 'old' ryanair anyway :)

    From Airlinerroute

@airlineroute: Ethiopian Airlines in July/August 2015 to operate a mix of 777-200LR/-300ER to Washington, 777-200LR in Sep 2015, instead of 777-300ER only

Which is now what they are doing :):):).

Checking my Dublin Airport mobile app, they have the Transit Ethiopians in the listings (albeit poorly, flight numbers all wrong as well as both destinations being listed as Washington as opposed to both Washington and Toronto)
