That tune worked a treat after a couple of small tweaks. I got it into 275th place on wet gravel at Pikes Peak tonight with a very scruffy run.
    Sorry for the terrible picture.
Thanks again for getting it for me Jayo.

Cant see time in picture:) - What you doing full course in?

I couldn't tell you, I'm just about to run it in the dry in the career mode next.
I don't get to race as much these days, I have to set up and then stash away my rig every time because of destructive little hands!
I'm hoping to go after it this weekend. I don't know how that gravel run ranked as high as it did, it was fairly rough to say the least.

I'm slowly improving, day by day.

I've started to mess around with the RWD cars more, its taking me a while to get used to how they handle.

I was too cautious at the start but I'm starting to gradually push myself to go that bit quicker.

I'm loving Greece, especially the hairpins.

Not the most exciting vid in the world but this is probably smoothest corner I've managed in a RWD so far:

I've just noticed you can check your daily/weekly/monthly events times against others on the dirt website.

    https://www.dirtgame.com/events

I thought I was a bit slow until I realised a lot of people play with assists on but you can filter those out if you want (see screenshots).
Obviously this was one of my better stages, I'll conveniently ignore all those bad ones :D

Interesting to look over the telemetry as well https://www.dirtgame.com/telemetry/0

8th place with assists turned off! I'll take that :p
    Was this leaderboard for Waldaufstieg?

No. The leader boards go back about 10 previous events. I think it's from the 17th of May.

The telemetry only goes back 2 events.

I probably was crap for Waldaufstieg and that's why I didn't pick that one :D

If I have a clean but my usual cautious run, I do ok.
But if I have to reset the car or crash at all, I end up way way down the leader boards.

Had a decent daily stage yesterday on the Wager Event.

I had a great start but I did go a bit cautious towards the last 1/3 because I usually feck it up if I think I'm doing well.

Hopefully they fix the weak FFB on the T300s and T150s while they are at it

I raged hard last night. Yet again I went off the track while slightly beaten up only to be disqualified to an unrecoverable car, so I angrily began waving my hands about the place (and accidentally whacking myself in the balls in the process) and shouting about how difficult this game is with a wheel.
So I switched to a controller and lo and behold, instant improvement.

    Kn6LqRH.png

Conclusion: the AI in this game is crap. It treats controller users driving automatic and wheel users with physical gears and a clutch to operate, with no easy access to the handbrake button, exactly the same. There's always one little **** of an AI that does flawlessly in every stage of every rally, ruining your chances of winning. I mean look at the Finn, besides a DQ in the first rally it's perfect.

I wouldn't even care but for the fact my gamerscore is messed up until I unlock a 4g achievement for having 4 fully upgraded cars.
    Rant over.

Anyone know if its the Legend Edition Smyths are selling for the PS4 €40 currently?

Going to pick it up as i have the graphics down low on my relic of a PC and even then the framerate isnt great.

The Colin McRae Legend Bluray is 20 euro alone on the Duke website so its a great deal.

So I'm still racing on my PC relic probably @ 30fps or less, but I managed to finally do a clean lap in the RWD Renault Alpine in Career mode on the first stage in Greece and came 2nd:

    397335.jpg

It might not seem like much but I had to put in a serious amount of practice just to get that close to 1st place.
All assists off, the only thing that was on was full HUD.

There's a very deceptive left 4 bend 3/4s of the way into the stage that is tight and has a cliff to the side, really have to brake hard for that bugger!

Anyway I'm quite happy with the result, still have a long long way ahead.
