    I've one, too.

Until the 1990s, how were Britain's nuclear weapons secured?

I only came across this question today.

Who is the only man to win an official LPGA tournament?

Sorry Rube, I think that went over my head, it's too late for my brain.

It was a question I found on the web, I don't know if it was a specific nuclear weapon or just in general.

(I'm assuming you were serious and didn't mean the Automobile Association or Alcoholics Anonymous).

Janey, now I want to know about the AA! :)

  • Administrators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 78,458 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭Beasty

So was it secured with a wheel clamp, or a very large krookloc?

    :)

Thought they were kept aboard the nuclear subs, with at least one at sea all the time. How they were secured there though I would have little idea

Sam Snead in the 60s bit it's classified as an unofficial victory.

Well, what I read was that they were secured with bike locks, of all things. I wonder what they use now - combination locks from cheap import suitcases?

I'll post another question a bit later.

Correct. Though when I looked it up there does seem to be plenty of evidence that it was an official victory - https://golfhistorytoday.com/1962-sam-snead-official-lpga-event/ for example.

He only came sescond the previous year!

That eternally clean, pure, substance that we used to adore and glorify...

    Asbestos.

Indeed. You are always on fire, Srameen! (unlike asbestos...)

Are they? It's not what I'm looking for though.

Ha, I've got it! Sheffield Wednesday started me on the right track (I may have mentioned I had an uncle who was secretary of that club) and Das Kapital seemed about right so I checked them and - Bingo!
