This is a bit of an odd one:

What's peculiar about a blackbird's tongue?

It's something I've observed myself and when I realised it it surprised me. It's probably something well known, but in fairness I didn't know it was possible. Also, it could be common to other birds.

Hope you've managed to make some sense of that.

zoology is my field and I'm not sure what the question is really.

Birds have bones in their tongues but it's not unique to blackbirds, nor indeed just birds. No taste buds either.
