The top and bottom trains basically pull each other by using water as ballast weight.

You've got it Srameen. It's a funicular cliff railway with the carriages interconnected. Each carriage sits atop a 700 gal. water tank. The water levels are adjusted (taking payload weight into account) to leave the top carriage slightly heavier than the bottom. The brakes are released and off they go.

More accurately imported clothes such as silk.

Graves are armour covering the legs. It's also the term for the residue from tallow making.

Sylvester Stallone I think - for Rocky.

I can't help with the answer on this one but I know Stallone was nominated for Best Actor and Best Writing for the original Rocky movie in 1976 but didn't win either. He also lost another again in 2016 for Best Supporting actor.

My guess to the answer would be Clint Eastwood? (I'm not even sure if he writes, to be honest)
