Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Doc isn't happy. It was the correct call though. Lazy play by Rivers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,344 ✭✭✭buyer95

Best game I've seen this year. Impossible to call, but the Spurs will go at CP3, expect them to put him in the pick and roll a lot, with Parker and Duncan. It's no coincidence that the game Parker has been able to get it going coincides with CP3 injury. Doc needs to shut his mouth, that call on his son was the correct call, Manu was in the act of shooting.

Another fine for Rivers, I imagine.

Can't afford another poor game from Kawhi. He needs to pick it up this quarter.

Almost every player, bar Rivers, has been brilliant tonight.

Why would you watch the Mayweather/Pacquiao undercard when you've got this :D Incredible stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭NufcNavan

Yep, best game I've seen this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,344 ✭✭✭buyer95

If you told me this was game 7 of the NBA Finals, I would believe you. The standard has been that high. Ive said it before but these are 2 of the 4 best teams in the NBA.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,147 ✭✭✭PizzamanIRL

Yeah agreed, best game. I'll use that as a consolation if Spurs lose.

Green has been awesome, as has CP3.

Haven't had the chance to watch anywhere near the amount of games I've wanted to this season, but there can't have been many better than this surely? Superb.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 679 ✭✭✭Lt J.R. Bell

Duncan could easily do another season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

This is just insane. WHAT. A. GAME.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,344 ✭✭✭buyer95

I feel privileged to be watching this game. It's a cliche, but neither team deserves to lose. Couldn't call it

  • Registered Users Posts: 633 ✭✭✭Bertser

Only been into basketball since the middle of 2013/14 but comfortably the best game I've watched in that time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,344 ✭✭✭buyer95

    WOW. Advantage Clippers here.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 679 ✭✭✭Lt J.R. Bell

Christ, Diaw was a finger tip away from blocking that

They should be charging 100 bucks in the US for this series on pay per view, not the boxing.

Tim Duncan is just unbelievable, cannot believe he is 39 when he puts in games like this.

Is it time to bring up that missed goaltending call on the Clips from the 1st half?

  • Registered Users Posts: 633 ✭✭✭Bertser

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭NufcNavan

Not sure about that last play. You have to go for 3.

Anyway, what a game. Best I've seen in a long time. Well done Clippers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

What a ridiculous series. Congrats to the clippers. CP3 was ridiculous

    Tim Duncan is unbelievable

Ginobili's last game surely. He looked a spent force.

No shame in that. He will be a HOF'er

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,344 ✭✭✭buyer95

What a ****ty way to end the best series I've ever seen. The Clippers got to see the Spurs play and then adjust and defend it. That wasn't an inadvertent whistle, that was the buzzer going off just before the ball came in, from the clippers scorer table. Leaves s sour taste. Fair play to the Clippers, there a hell of a team and will put it up to the Dubs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,344 ✭✭✭buyer95

Can't even deal with the thought that that could be the last time we see Tim Duncan on an NBA court.

Yep, Pop will rightfully be pissed off after this.

As great as a game it was, that's little consolation to Pop. The missed goaltending call was horrific. Cost them in the end, along with the highly dubious call on Duncan late on.

    Well done Nostradamus.

I don't like moaning about officiating but I can think of 3 calls that really messed it up for the Spurs.

To be fair, other than that, the Spurs let themselves down by missing easy layups. Duncan bricking 2 FTs in a row, Kawhi playing below par. Giving up rebounds easily. You think they would learn after 2013. The Clippers did play great. Made their shots when they needed to etc. so fair play.

Pop cheerful enough in the post game interview.
We'll probably come back. The pay cheque is pretty good.

Pop copped it straight away and went after the clippers scorers table guys. They knew exactly what they were doing. There was no reason for them to set off the buzzer, other then to stop Boris checking in the ball so LA could get a look at the Spurs play. Can't blame the clippers players though, they were amazing. Has to be one of the most even series of all times. Accumulated final score after 7 games is 724-721 to the Spurs. Congrats to the Clippers, but they had some huge calls go there way. Timmy didn't lay a finger on CP3 on that foul at the end, they missed the goal tend and then the scorers table bs at the end.

Brave call.. if you had money on it. Spurs have history of doing this, winning it all and following it up with a round 1 loss, so it's not entirely shocking in that context.

And all you said was "could", lol.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,977 ✭✭✭Soby

Game 6 cost them more than anything IMO. To come out with some poor effort in a close out game on home floor was ridiculous. They just let the Clippers take over in the second half. Gave the Clippers new life.

I think today, the spell where Paul was out and they didn't extend the lead is what will annoy Pop most.
