We’ve moaned about business moving out of Naas for years now and now Dunnes is moving into the town and we’re moaning,

Stop the world and let me off :)

Would agree, centre of town isn't the place for a big shopping complex, will only add to the congestion.

It’s a large convenience store at best, Not a patch on even the old Dunnes of Newbridge , It’s a welcome addition

Will be interesting to see what impact it will have on congestion.

When is it due to open?

Superquinn had a fantastic supermarket on that site for years, it definitely wasn't a convenience store. The big problem was the parking and traffic in and out.

I see James Whelans Butchers are opening in Dunnes, i assume that means they are aiming at the high end of the market?

I'd be surprised if a new Dunnes didn't have their high end fitout tbh.

Got a tip into the rear tonight, bumper needs checking out
Any recommendations for a panel beater in the area?

More than likely will be a new rear bumper

Went down but it was a bit late in the afternoon, and it looked like a great day had been had. Plenty going on. Hopefully this will become an annual event. Nice to be able to walk up and down the main Street and see it free of cars. Very relaxed feel to it.

A bit too far spread out I thought. Did they need 2 band stands. Maybe would have been good if one of the restaurants had a tent up doing a hot meal. If you were hungry, you would have to have gone indoors somewhere. Only a couple of weeks till the wild food festival.

There's a nice forest walk out the Punchestown way. It's on route to blessington you cant miss it.

Donadea forest just past Clane is very nice too.

Beware OP, Donadea has a E5.00 entrance fee, AND only takes coins, or at least that’s alll they took last time we were there, that’s a few years ago.

Wouldn’t have an exact location for this by any chance? Always looking for somewhere new to walk and don’t know this one.

It looked spread out in the pics/videos I saw. I suppose businesses don’t want everything happening outside someone else’s premises. My Dad went down and he said it felt like there weren’t many people.

But great to see such events. I live in Poland now and they do a lot of these things and they are great for an area.

Parents live across the road, said it might be a used car place

Seems a bit small to be but I said that about the rental place
