Total mess of an account system. I've created a new Nintendo Account with a nickname, and have an existing NNID that I'd like to link but can't...because of reasons unknown to me. Whats the difference between a Nintendo Account & an NNID anyway??

You should have been able to sign into the Nintendo Account with your NNID to link them

*Edit* You can link them after, User Info > Linked Accounts, worked immediately for me

Disaster, had to delete the new account I just set up, and now wait 30 days for it to be deleted...then I can change the nickname on the old NNID account to the one I set on the new account. It wouldn't let me link them as per the above, and wouldn't let me set the same nickname on them as a result.

Not just Nintendo though, trying to update the email address on my Origin account & can't do it because the new email address is "invalid". Christ almighty, does anything actually work these days?

Just make sure the "User ID" section is filled in under "User Information"

I've had my Nintendo account linked for a while and didn't realise that section was blank for me and I only had my nickname/display name filled it, unless the User ID section is new.

As I said previously too, I don't have any requirement for the pro controller myself, I think the joy-cons in the grip will suffice for any traditional style game needs, or even the joy-cons held separately. If the direction buttons don't measure up when using them, I'd consider it then (but hopefully at that stage they may have allowed the Wii U Pro Controller to work with the Switch)

Yeah, whenever I decide to hop on the Switch train I'll be budgeting for an SD card, second set of joy-cons and the Pro Controller. The Pro only because I prefer the more traditional controller rather than it being a necessity, any time I turn on the Wii-U I'd use the Pro controller there too.

Fingers crossed there'll be some tasty bundles by then too, Zelda & Mario please. Gamestop of all places had an amazing Wii-U bundle when I picked it up, think it was at the same time Nintendo were offering a bogof deal too.

So I just discovered a voucher that I'd forgotten about that makes the switch a lot more affordable to me. My choices are Argos and GameStop.

Argos Ireland have nothing about the switch on their website and I just rang them and the lady had no idea. Does anyone have any info?

Also are GameStop most likely telling porkies about still getting it on day 1 if you preorder now? And what's the likelihood of them charging more than 330 on the day?

Nope, says on their site pre orders from the 16th aren't guaranteed. Very unlikely they'd charge more than that since we're paying a fair bit as is. Argos won't put anything up till the morning of the 3rd, but it's not 100% guaranteed they'll stock it after the NES classic.

They never stocked it properly making it extremely difficult for folks to get one from there. Be surprised if the same happens with the Switch.

Reminds me it was my birthday a few weeks ago and noticed a couple days before that both my ham and milk expired on my birthday. Was thinking they knew something I didn't. Like i wouldn't need them after that day.

Anyway, I assume the charging grip just comes with a short usb cable for charging? Or how do you play while charging if the power cable is attached to the switch?

If I raise billions with this painting of mine I might invest in a second set of controllers and the charge grip.
