    turbo? :P

I wish, just a standard Eunos Roadster. 1990, so 115-120bhp. Not bad. :)

In the long term it'll either get built as an N/A motor or swap in another Mazda engine.
That's if I can ever get the thing on the road, I've had it nearly two years now. :pac:

ahh the same as mine atm, I'm almost finished with my new turbo engine completely build with new stuff just for this project.
But I need to replace diff/lsd first before I can even think of putting it in the car :)

I did buy the gauge pod already :P

I want at least 300whp for the build (which is not a problem at all) car will still be < 1000 kilo's

On swapped clutch I assume? Above 200ish is when it all starts getting very expensive.

Is it the 1.8 on low comp internals or what route did you take?

Interested in seeing the push for 300bhp in the next while!

Yea it won't handle 200+ whp on the stock clutch.

This is the clutch I got for the new built: http://www.advancedclutch.com/zm1-hdg4

No 1.6 because it has all original turbo tabs already there, the 1.8 does not.
But the compression is a bit lower compare to original

    Anyway:

Wiseco Forged Pistons and Eagle rods :)

Are they easily capable of that Power?

I'd me more for an sr20 or 13b base myself.

Well 250lbs/ft which is around 338nm.

and the 1.6 doesn't have much torque, the SR20 and 13B does :)
Also the SR20 swap sucks, I checked it out.. otherwise it would be an LS1 swap and that one is really hard to get in Europe and import tax is waay to high.

    Searching a bit for you
    236whp, ~14.5psi / Begi Churbo, Stock 1.6L

196,000 miles on the stock 1.6L longblock
    91 Octane
    Begi "T25/28 Hybrid" @ ~14.5psi
    MS2PnP
    Begi Cast manifold + downpipe
    dyno

    this is a 1.8 but:

Finally got my 95 miata on a dyno dynamics. Made 302whp at 18psi and 260whp at 12psi.
    link

    2.5" Catless

The B6ZE (all 1.6's) are more than capable of 300 but the cost starts going way up past 200-220. It's not getting to 300 that's the problem, it's having 300 reliable hp.

I couldn't imagine anything much better than a stroked sr20 in anything to be honest!

I know the ls series is alloy but would it not leave am mx5 very front heavy?

What turbo are you going for? I'm commencing my own build shortly after I finish my finals and free up some extra cash, was thinking GT2554r was the way to go?

    http://www.greddy.com/products/turbochargers/turbochargers-misc./filter:model:TD05-16G/

I don't know how car it will push tho :) bought it on the guess, and it was cheap
