That hit was brutal too. What was he thinking. Wouldn't have pegged him for that tbh.

Adams is so unlucky though. Two ridiculous hits this year, with the Danny Trevathan one also.

The suspensions are so random. It should be 1 game and upheld as 1 game after appeal.

Most TDs since 2015 in the league. And then the knob replied to Adams tweet last night

I don't believe for a second that the Panthers will ever go up for sale.

Depends what further skeletons are in the closet and if keeping them hidden is worth them coming out and then being forced out rather than go quietly now.

Looking through some stats and an interesting one I found:

The Browns defense ranks #16 overall this season, despite having a -25 turnover differential.

To put that into context, since the league expanded in 1978, the worst turnover differential in NFL history is the 2000 Chargers with -28, and the Browns still have to play two games, one of which is the #5 ranked Steelers defense!

It must be heartbreaking playing defense on that team and watching the offense constantly turnover the ball, but it does show that they’re largely okay on D and should probably invest as much draft capital as they can on offense.

Their defense stats are a weird one. They have decent yards per game (which I think the 16th you quote might be referring to) but are 3rd worst points against, tied 29th in turnovers (6) and tied 24th in sacks despite getting Garrett.

I'm not sure what story the stats really tell as they seem to contradict each other. Are teams against them just receiving a short field and thats why they're scoring a lot but not making huge yardage? That wouldn't mean the defense it too solid. If they aren't getting to the QB nor creating turnovers I don't think they can focus too much on just offense.

Its so weird that the NFL ranks defenses based on yards conceded and not points conceded.

Points is the only stat that matters.

It is, but pretty much everything is sorted originally by yardage, offenses, QBs by passing yards, RBs by rushing yards, WRs by receiving yards. Suppose its more consistent across the board, or something.

Not like the points/tds aren't readily available too. Like its common knowledge that Seattle have the lowest points allowed defence for the past few years.

He might possibly be forced out of any direct involvement with the franchise, but unless he can be legally forced to sell his stake I can't ever see him doing it. Any NFL franchise is a complete cash cow, not to mention all the publicity it brings amongst other things. I think it's a sympathy play and a terrible one at that.

I completely agree with one very big exception and that's his tendency to throw tantrums when things don't go his way.

Rodgers gone on IR, well that seemed a bit pointless

Finish third in their division, easier schedule next year, go 14-2, nfc no.1 seed 2018 season.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Well not really. Even though I didn't fully agree with it, they risked him when they could make the playoffs and aren't risking him now that they can't make the playoffs. Couldn't be that hard to fathom.

I mean bringing him back. He was obviously still injured and took some hard hits. Even if they had won their path to the play offs probably would have required them to win their 3 games

Home team bias is always the first thing that comes to mind, and seems like I have the same post here every year...but borderline insanity that Harrison Smith is overlooked yet again. Comfortably the best player on one of the leagues best defenses (only Griffen could challenge him for performance for the Vikings this year). You'd have to go back to about early 2015 for the last time him and Earl Thomas have even been comparable at the position.

No Justin Tucker or Sam Koch :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,003 ✭✭✭mikemac2

How is Sam Koch not the pro bowl punter for the AFC?

67 attempts and 37 downed within the 20 yd line. The next highest is the Bengals punter at 31 so nobody even close. The Titans punter has 62 attempts and 22 within the 20 yd line. Koch has 3 touchbacks all year and Kern has 5

Last week at Cleveland Koch landed three punts inside the Browns 5 yd line! Put the Browns under huge pressure and Kizer was stripped sacked for a touchdown

Can throw a good pass. Major snub here

No Harrison Smith is borderline disgraceful.

Also, surely there's a better TE than Jimmy Graham for NFC this year?

Glad Slay finally got it, he's been at the required level for a few years. As a Lions fan you know you're not going to get anymore than 2 at the most so not the worst haul with the amount of alternates we have.

Agnew should have been picked though. Don't know if missing two games brought him down but he lead so many categories as a punt returner.

Pro Bowl is such garbage these days, can’t really take it too seriously. Why is it already decided with 2 weeks to go?

Matthew Slater is obviously a great player but he missed like 5 games this season, so he is in only based on his name.

I can’t wait until players start pulling out because of “injuries” and Josh McCown is a Pro Bowl QB

I'm sure Kern got in cause of his ridiculously impressive net yards per punt, which is a full 5 yards ahead of Koch.

In fairness Pharaoh Cooper has been outstanding at both kick and punt returns. Still at least Agnew was voted in as a 1st alternate. He's still statistically the best punt returner, but his kick-off returns are very average.

I wouldn't worry about any player that got overlooked or whatever. They'll all be in by the time the game comes around.
