I still play it quite regularly, I just never play that game mode. I always stick to Franchise really. I like my games to be somewhat realistic so I never liked having Jerry Rice, Bo Jackson etc. in my lineups.

Though I can't quite put my finger in it, I haven't been able to stick with a franchise for more than 3/4 years whereas before I used to be able to go 10 years with the same teams (back when Favre was the cover star).

That JaMarcus Russell / Darren McFadden Raiders dynasty were some of my best days :o

Same for me. I only play madden now when playing casual games against my buddies. Fifa I like to play every now and again in career mode but it gets boring. Seems like they are concentrating more and more on the money spinner than making the games better and more involving

I play a huge amount of Madden. We've 14 friends in a Franchise mode and it's incredibly engaging. Can't be dealing with Ultimate Team though.

49ers Saints Divisional Round, 2011 I think? Probably the best NFL game I've ever watched.

Was going to recommend this one. Always jumps into my head first.

I often go back and watch the last 3 minutes of Vikings @ Ravens in 2013. I forget which week, but mental finish.

Honorable mention to Ravens @ Patriots, 2015 AFC Divisional Round.

Packers - Bears (I forget which was the home team) in the last week of the 2013 season was pretty damn good too. If I recall correctly, it was a winner wins the NFC North game too.

How does Ultimate Team work? How do you unlock extra players - just by playing it enough? Is there not a salary cap or anything like that to worry about like in Franchise mode?

It is a much better system than the FIFA Ultimate Team system you can win coins and players from playing solo challenges and they regularly release new content sometimes multiple new challenges weekly. You earn coins based on those or your performances online and with those you buy your players.

We haven't spent a penny on the pack purchases this year and we've done pretty well with putting together that team. Just starting to test the waters online at the minute and doing alright, there are some people you play with ridiculous teams and people that are ridiculously good but it's your choice, you can make serious coins from playing the solo challenges and completing sets.

    It has me hooked anyway.

2009 Wildcard - Cardinals V Packers was my favorite game of all time.

I thought Kansas Denver from the end of this season was insane. Week 14 I think

If you want a crazy shootout, this year's Rose Bowl is up on YouTube also between USC and Penn State.

Didn't that end something crazy like 51-45

The Michigan Ohio double overtime too was unbelievable

Not surprising, given his contract trade options would be limited and I think he has earned the right to choose his own destination rather than being traded to somewhere he doesn't want to go.

On the face of it there should be a big market for him but I'd be very worried about investing in him. Talent wise he is still probably top 10 but constant back injuries have to be a worry, you are not getting 16 games out of him. So you will still need a good back-up QB & he really is only short term, 2 seasons max.

He would probably only want to go to a contender as well so that could limit the teams who he would be interested in surely. Denver is obvious, Washington if Cousins left town or Houston (with some cap gymnastics) would be the 3 I would see with a shot to land him.

Are there any high upside (as in high enough to go top 2-3 rounds) but raw QBs in this years draft? If a team like Houston for example with absolutely nothing at QB managed to get someone like that and Romo to learn from/be backup to for 2-3 years it could be a great situation to be in for them. Romo seems like a classy guy who would be fairly happy to tutor, too.

I personally think Pat Mahomes will turn out to be the best QB from this draft, given the time.

I loved Vince Young pity it didnt work out, loads of talent there. Never will forget that year with Texas. Unreal.

Vince Young, christ. He wasn't good enough when he was playing, how's is he miraculously going to be good enough now.

Also, no idea how he has two pro bowls to his name.

Going by the season he just had I thought he hadn't any fight left in him!!! Just another reason for the Jets to get rid of him

A $7 million cap saving to cut him, you'd think it has to be done.

It's fine, once you see a 360Lb JaMarcus Russell saying he is making a comeback then you know things are bad or ....

god forbid (or god willing depending on the case)

what if the great one announces he is making a comeback. The hysteria would be amazing!!
