Podcasts are great. No matter what your hobbies or interests are you're sure to find a podcast that covers it. Much better than the crap that's on radio.

The breakfast roll. Weekday mornings from 7 with Sean mc Caffrey on northern sound, followed by a dollop of joe finnegan, while relaxing out with brenden Farrell on the 11 to 1 show 😋 96.3 fm

Which stations did I get mixed up?

I shifted your description of 2FM, which just happens to fit my thoughts on Marty perfectly.

    Who are they ?
Stand-ins for (aka blessed relief from) Marty

    That's some promotion !

Although I'm not sure who appreciates it more. Chris or Christ :D

Lyric used to be such a refuge in the mornings... I miss that so much

Newstalk in the mornings, actually all day, for me. Can't stand listening to music from a radio station, if I want music I'll listen to mp3s or a cd.

The only show I'll turn off newstalk for is the Irish show on Friday evening, but today fm have a 80/90's show on then and it's bare able.

I Think the pat kenny show is ok,
but being a news program means alot of the subjects are depressing,
eg crime, the latest on isis, iraq etc
he is still a good presenter .
I mainly listen to podcasts ,
and programs on bbc radio 4.
I Wonder do any women listen to newstalk in the mornings ,
ivan yeates is very sexist ,patronising when any subject that effects women comes on.
it sounds like a program beamed in from the 70s.

IT seems there s very few good presenters left on irish morning radio.
THE today program on bbc is mainly british current affairs ,
    interviews with politicians
,of limited interest to irish listeners.
IRISH radio is mainly good for music ,
or certain programs on rte, sunday show ,arts shows ,etc
The advantage of podcasts is they cover every subject,
and they can talk at length ,
    and they are on demand.
    listen whenever you like .

    i don,t have a digital radio,
i know theres digital radio ,extra rte stations,
i have no idea whats on those stations.
sometimes liveline is good when it discuss,es certain subjects ,

It was the first program i heard on radio, that discussed the banking crisis in 2007.

Being a Londoner I listen to:

    LBC
    Jazz FM
    Radio 4
    Kiss 100 (when I need a wake-up call!)

Heart is great on Friday night. Club Classics from 7pm right through until 2am. Music to set you up for the weekend!

Not overly keen on Irish radio, but I do like Classic Hits. Cork 96FM I can only bear for a short time. Mainly to listen to the traffic news!
