Somehow he ended up face to face with a bull. So he was either participating in the event or was the victim of some freak occurrence whereby either he or the bull were magically teleported to the same place at the same time.

To be frank, if this is how you feel like a man nowadays, by risking your life needlessly and compromising your health and lifespan in the process, I'll stay at home. Having been to a bullfight in Mexico before, it is a horrendous thing. It's not even a fair fight! The bull has been wounded and is almost dying before it even gets into the ring. The matador has advantages of weapons, training and so on. It is a cruel and horrible "sport".

Now, strip the matador of all weapons (leaving him with only the cape-thing) and making it so that the bull is fully healthy (and has possibly not been allowed to be sexually active for about a week). That's a "sport" I would watch, because at least there is some twisted element of "fairness" to it.

I'd be firmly against wanton cruelty to animals. Malicious cruelty; kids who mutilate animals or deliberately hurting an animal, etc. It's horrible. A friend of mine had his dog killed recently by two scumbags who broke the dog's back legs and left him to die on the side of the road. They'll be caught, as they were seen and identified. Hope they get jail over it. Bastards.

I'd also be fairly against hunting; I believe that it is not a fair pursuit. And I don't believe it's right to shoot at something that cannot shoot back (so basically I'm advocating the only things that should be hunted is the deadliest game of all: man!).

Bull running and bull fighting should be banned. It offers nothing but danger and cruelty.
I have a couple of bulls, they are dangerous animals, they are quiet but there is the saying 'never trust a bull', they could just take a notion and it is not hard for one to kill a person.
So intentionally putting oneself in harms way is just highly stupid.

In many places, the bulls used in bullruns are used in bullfights later in the day, where they will be killed.
