The man was gored multiple times. He received multiple wounds including wounds to his back, thigh and.....sphincter. One of his wounds was 40cm.

My opinion: if you are going to allow this kind of thing, then is the possibility. No one should be sorry for you, you take your life in your hands when you do this ****.

He knew the risks and he's not asking for sympathy. The whole thrill of the running of the bulls is to risk your life. We live in a health and safety and politically correct world. Men want to feel like men. In the past men broke horses, hunted whales, sharks and bears and fought Injuns and pirates.

Somehow he ended up face to face with a bull. So he was either participating in the event or was the victim of some freak occurrence whereby either he or the bull were magically teleported to the same place at the same time.

Somehow I think if he had fallen into the pit or the bull had broken through a wall into a public place, they would be mentioning that.

To be frank, if this is how you feel like a man nowadays, by risking your life needlessly and compromising your health and lifespan in the process, I'll stay at home. I suppose young Muslims running off to Syria and Yemen to be radicalised are just being men too, breaking from modern life's constraits?

Having been to a bullfight in Mexico before, it is a horrendous thing. It's not even a fair fight! The bull has been wounded and is almost dying before it even gets into the ring. The matador has advantages of weapons, training and so on. It is a cruel and horrible "sport".

Now, strip the matador of all weapons (leaving him with only the cape-thing) and making it so that the bull is fully healthy (and has possibly not been allowed to be sexually active for about a week). That's a "sport" I would watch, because at least there is some twisted element of "fairness" to it.

I'd be firmly against wanton cruelty to animals. Malicious cruelty; kids who mutilate animals or deliberately hurting an animal, etc. It's horrible. A friend of mine had his dog killed recently by two scumbags who broke the dog's back legs and left him to die on the side of the road. They'll be caught, as they were seen and identified. Hope they get jail over it. Bastards.

I'd also be fairly against hunting; I believe that it is not a fair pursuit. And I don't believe it's right to shoot at something that cannot shoot back (so basically I'm advocating the only things that should be hunted is the deadliest game of all: man!).
