Dam missed the Monaghan one. Was thinking of getting one for my son for his college work etc. Oh well. If another comes up I will try and nab it.

Wait! Was that a veiled request for a code!

    Naw, never mind :)

No it was a veiled moan about people reserving codes they don't need! :D

Make it FLAC or WAV, you will be happier in the long run, and I hope you have a good soundcard... :)

What may i ask, is FLAC & i assumed mp3 was universal compared to WAV as that filesize is smaller than mp3?

But that's the limit of my knowledge uptil now :)

I've nabbed the 2 in Arklow. But I will be giving them good homes, not hoarding the orders.

I thought OGG was the best lossless format? Not that I care about such things. MP3 is fine with me (even 128k ).

Ogg is a lossy format. 128k is fine if you are listening on euroshop earphones but with a decent set of headphones or speakers 128k MP3 is aweful.

Just tuning in. Just hilarious to watch seeing how bad it is.

This crack the code game, they're bound to have ****e money at the end. Odds are terrible.

It's amazing how there's none appearing in Dublin shops?
Is it because all the Dublin orders were collected?

Good prices, if you're willing to wait the 3-4 weeks:

    http://www.geekbuying.com/Search/?ke...sb+3.0+micro+b

Given the drive is bus-powered I wouldn't be too tempted by the 3-5M cables, keep it as short as you're comfortable with and the Y (double plug A) cables are
prudent for extra power if required.

Just looking for something roughly double the size of the lead that comes with it as it's too short for what I need it for.
    Cheers.

Well there you go. I would've bet good money that ogg was lossless. In any case, most of my music is probably 256k mp3, but I listen to most of it through the car stereo.

I'm no audiophile. Never did a straight compare of the same track on different formats/bitrate.

I do have good(ish) headphones, but am still procrastinating on buying a set of Grado SR60 or 80. My kinda price range.

Ogg is a container format - not a lossy format. There are uncompressed (eg. OggPCM) lossless (eg. Ogg Flac) and lossy (eg. Vorbis - up to 500 v's 320 kbps max MP3) audio implementations of Ogg - and similar video varieties too.

You can't ask for a code as the poster above has, and you can't offer a code in location A with a view to trading it for a code in Location B. Spare codes can be shared.

Code 'requesting' has been banned while code 'offering' is limited to that thread you quoted.

The stock update which normally takes place after close of business did a complete update again late last night, something tells me that's the last of the cheap drives.

Any reservation made on Saturday or Sunday is reserved until close of business Monday so any not collected will pop up again around 7pm tomorrow.
