    Do we have some rain?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭Killinator

No, all dry, expected to be mostly dry for remainder of the race.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭Killinator

    Still couldn't call this one.

Top three only a few seconds apart after 16hours, very close

Big shunt for the Corvette there!!

Another big shunt, travelled a fair distance while locked up into that wall.

EDIT It's all going off now!

20 hours and rarely more than 30 seconds between the top 3.

Fantastic race so far. Of course I missed the excitement during the night when I took a few hours sleep.

I took a few hours sleep.

    Rookie mistake :P

Another big hit in the Porsche Curves!

Bit of a depressing race to watch in P1 as an Audi fan, hope it's the kick in the hole they need for next year.

pity Vilander spun the 82 in GTE pro as the battle with the 68 was shaping up nicely

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,862 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

The 6 in the garage now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭Killinator

Delighted to see Davidson up top, hope he can see it out but the record for Japanese cars is so poor at Le Mans that it's hard not to expect something to come up.

EDIT: as I type, the number 6 is f*cked!

Murphy's in the pits now for a long time with drive train issues.

Toyota #6 now 4 laps back.

Need to pull out my old ford rally jacket! Come on the Ford GT....

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,585 ✭✭✭Corben Dallas

Anyone think the rear of the Ford GT looks like a Prototype?

Also like the way Ferrari responded to Ford using the Old school 'F O R D' lettering on the sunvisor :pac:(< thing on top of the windscreen) by running just the logo/word Ferrari on plain yellow on black..... like it!

Really hope Toyota win this..... its been too long since Mazda's screaming banshee won in 90? 91? ( last Jap Works team)

Mazda won in 1991. Now that I think of them, I wonder how the rotary would have got on had they used it in F1, back when some manufacturers tried W12s and Flat-12s.

Toyota seem to have this wrapped up if they can get through the next 75 minutes without any drama.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,734 ✭✭✭✭Inquitus

Gap down to 25 secs, took 1.8 secs out of the lead on the last lap, we'll see if the Toyota responds this time round. 1.8 secs a lap would close them right up coming into the final few laps.

34 sec after the last stops.

Looks like the longer stints and doing one less stop has done it for Toyota.

Don't understand why Porsche started doing 13 lap stints and have now switched to 14 lap stints, that one less stop as you say is going to be the winning of the race.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,862 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

Yeah, I don't understand it either.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭Killinator

That number 84 entry is amazing!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,046 ✭✭✭afatbollix

Could be a ford 1-2 in GT class as the Ferrari has to stop to fix its lights.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,862 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

Yeah, fantastic stuff for the 84

Terrible penalty for the 82. Utterly unjustifiable.

Hopefully they stay out and protest it after the race.
