    I'm in a quandry.

Two feet of snow, power out for miles around, and I'm lying in front of the turf fire and the genny keeping me lit. Dying to go to the pub, but they are in the dark.

Time to get your own keg installed and start charging the neighbours.

We've had snow in Dublin for about three hours. Give it a week first, please, before RTE get "Big Freeze"! notions.

Do what I do. Most of my beer is in a cooler on the balcony. Stock up fridge when needed...

Sod all snow in Dublin earlier. Well, where I was working anyway. Further south of Dublin seemed to get more action, but the west and north/west seem to be the places to be. As usual, Dublin escaped the excitement.

I'm reminded of this video every year when there's snow :p Sorry, the wrapping of the YouTube tag doesn't work properly.

I don't understand how any sane grown up can get giddy at the sight of snow. Yeah, it's kind of pretty seeing the surrounding area covered in it, but my god it's way more hassle than it's worth. Particularly for us country folk. I've a stag in Cork on Friday and my word I'll be angry if I can't go thanks to that demonic white stuff.

A little snow and the whole country starts grinding to a halt.

Irish people can't handle it on the roads, either driving at snails-pace at 5mph or tearing like complete lunatics through it.

No country can handle more snow than they're used to.

I knew a guy called Snowball. This time of the year was a particularly good time for him with all the 'I'll give your wife 8 inches of snow' jokes.
