Had a lovely walk with the Mrs today in St. Catherine's park. Was surprised at how mild it was actually. Really enjoyed getting some fresh air & exercise.

Had a lovely night out with just the 4 of us last night too, really nice meal in a local Italian restaurant after a couple of drinks in a local bar. All enjoyed it & home N all for 10.00pm, broke dry January by having a couple of pints of Guinness & they were delicious! Never bothering with that fad (Dry Jan) again.

& is it just me or is there a feel of spring in the air? The park today certainly had that feel of spring being just around the corner.

Spring is definitely in the air. But sadly the weather forecast for the next 10 days doesn’t look too promising.

I've booked some time off work soon. Looking forward to the Dublin Bowie festival at the end of the month and the new Bridget Jones film! I could do with a belly laugh.I went to see the Bob Dylan film recently and would recommend it. Simple kind of film but it was very enjoyable

Pulp are coming to Dublin again!!! Now that cheered me up no end when I heard last week. Can't wait. Been a fan since the heyday.

Just thinking there as well they've written a few Christmas messages on flyers over the years, I must root out those messages and post here. Would love if they did a Christmas song or a studio recording of I Believe in Father Christmas. There's just the poor quality live recording of it on YouTube but love it.

Jarvis does have a Happy New Year tune with Richard Hawley but what could be better than a Pulp Christmas song! It'd be perfect.

On the 28th February, the sun will set at 6.01pm. It will be the end of October before it sets before 6pm again.

Although the weather leaves a lot to be desired right now, at least the longer days are making a comeback. ☀️

My Father said to me during the week when he was young the farmers used to say - "you can work till 6 o'clock by the end of February". He would also call them a bunch of greedy so and so's 😄

I cut my grass today, for the first time this year. That's a definite sign that the summer is approaching. Although I like the idea of letting it go a bit wild for the bees, I think I prefer how neat it looks after being cut…

And I discovered today that I like the mini Bounty bars in Celebrations tubs! Can't believe how many of them I've left for others over the years.

Bounty's don't last long in ours, ne an my son devour them.

How nice to see some blue sky yesterday. We even managed to get out for a walk before dinner yesterday evening which was lovely, especially without the need for a winter coat!!

Even got a bit of sun on my face yesterday at my sons 2nd hurling match of the weekend. Was a really nice day, sad that we have gotten so few of them for so long. Fingers crossed we get plenty more across the rest of the year.

Weather was BEAUTIFUL yesterday the heat in the park was unreal. Got a solid afternoon/evening out the back garden running around with the kids and dogs, all 4 sleep with no interruptions until this morning. For once my emergency in-case of kids/dogs not waking me alarm for work was needed haha

Oh I hope it stays nice for the weekend! ☀️

I wonder if all this sunny weather is a good or bad sign for the months ahead? 🤔

I’m making the most of it while we have it & popped out to Killiney Beach earlier & caught a few rays. Never been on it before, a few others doing the same but not crowded.

Oh absolutely bad for the summer months, we've most likely used our quota up already… so live it up now

Don't forget the obligatory 'that's the summer over now' when the weather does turn. 😂

Someone said similar to me in work yesterday - "it's too early in the year for all this good weather."

Last time I remember the weather being this nice so early in the year was the first lockdown for covid in 2020. IIRC that summer ended up being pretty decent so hopes are still optimistic for a reasonable one this year too.
