Not on any FR24 tier, hidden due to military identity.

Providing support for Mr Obama's VC-25 which has deposited him in Paris - also hidden.

There is, however, one C-40 ( B737 ) that appears because it has an incorrect hex set on the transponder.

I was on FR552 to this morning, Dublin to Manchester. Same plane which then turned around and did this. Not even a wobble on takeoff, not a bit of wind. Funny how it can all change in about two hours.

Anyone else getting errors on FR24 at the moment?
Cannot connect to SQL server & then no flights displaying?

It seemed ok to me a while ago.

One of the Air Corp PC-9s is doing the rounds at the moment. It's obviously doing night training.

    M-STAR 727 departing SNN.
You don't see one of these everyday, great looking colour scheme.

Winds for Dublin this evening look a bit challenging. From 6pm the wind is becoming a SSW (200 degrees) at 22kts G 33kts. In those winds RWY16 is favoured as its almost a complete crosswind on 10/28.

Question for them that know; Tower just offered (a Stobart flight I think it was) the option of going below a certain FL, but told him that he wouldnt be in controlled airspace if he took the option.
Pilot elected to stay in controlled airspace, if I heard it correctly.

What does that mean?, I kind of assumed all the airspace/flight levels was controlled.
If he flew into 'uncontrolled' airspace, would the pilot be expected to make his decisions based on his visual info?

    thx!

Probably wasn't the tower. Not all airspace is controlled at lower levels. Areas where airspace is uncontrolled could contain light aircraft that ATC are unaware of, given that there is no need for them to call ATC. It would be up to the Stobart in that case to maintain awareness in case.

I see. Thanks for prompt answer. I didnt realise light aircraft had areas/levels of their own as it were. Its all very interesting. Sounds like a tricky day again for the pilots with these gusts.

What's up with UPS at East Midlands? Seems to have landed, taxied and took off again? Heading towards London at the moment

Seems the ADB-S radar was never switched off, so it landed, refuelled, possibly unloaded and reloaded cargo and took off again.
