A RYR bound for Stansted had a rejected takeoff due to burst tyre. Rescue vehicles are currently searching for a "missing" piece of FOD. They've switched runways to 34 while the search continues.

So was it the burst tyre from the RYR that the bluebird 737 hit or was it two separate incidents because the bluebird had 3 fire engines and a few other vehicles with it on the west apron ?

I don't actually know if they're connected incidents, I tuned in to atc after seeing a go-around, so missed the first few minutes.

A diversion to Liverpool for FR5323 due to the incident at around 20:30 and subsequent holding.

Looks like the incident aircraft involved in last nights diversion to cork - EI-DVI (EI485), is positioning from cork back up to Dublin shortly

    Edit: airborne now

Just heard it go overhead myself, though it was an unusual time for a departure to pass over us.

Alot of holding at DUB ATM, LVP's are in place.

Although they seem to be tightening up now. Some aircraft doing up to 4 loops of holding.

just took a look at KEf there on FR and theres 9 planes on approach, all icelandic air and all 757.

i guess while its the same type of set up at Ryanair, its unusual surely to see 9 757's in a row all lined up to the 1 airport.

Who's the fella on Dublin ATC clearing people to land and takeoff? His voice is painfully boring.

WOW air is doing 2 flights a week, they're supposed to be a cheap airline, but at this time of year flights cost a fortune. Folks going there to see northern lights (particularly strong this year), not sure what Icelanders are looking for in Dublin thou.. maybe cheap euro making shopping a bargain, I dunno, Dublin is quite bad for shopping

But yeah, it is expensive, I've been there 2 years ago and even after (during) the recession it's the most expensive place on the planet, even if you decide to do self catering, even prices at supermarket are eye-watering.. But once you've done with weeping, it's a beautiful place, definitely recommended
