One of the provinces should make a big money move for Manuel Neuer. Stick him at 15 and watch the team go through the season without conceding a try.

With Richard Sherman to come on in the last 20 to pick up a few intercepts!

You clearly haven't heard of a certain Terry Phelan.

Or as he was affectionately known, Terry "head the ball backwards" Phelan

Whatever happened to Deflategate? Have they quietly forgotten about it?

    The Devlins - Waiting

100 Irish albums of all time, from 2005 I think.

    http://rateyourmusic.com/list/John_K/hot_press_readers_top_100_irish_albums_of_all_time_/1/

    Some quality albums on there!

Damien Rice at #2, haven't heard the full album but it's ahead of some quality ones I have!

No Boyzone or Westlife? That list has no credibility!!

But seriously the Coors in the top 20 go and ****e lol his order of the U2 albums is off IMHO and therapy and something happens should both be a lot higher.

Wasn't it a list as voted by readers?

I'm very surprised at Something Happens, though. 55? I expected that to be top 20. Therapy? very lowly rated too.

Thought The Waterboys would feature a little higher than 28 given the affection they're held in still. Christy Moore with one album at 47.

I'm sure there are a couple of clangers that aren't there that we're not thinking of, also.

Maybe, I thought it was just his list but not sure. Hard thing to quantify really, would definitely rate some very differently but some really great albums on there too.

4 frames albums in the top 21 is ridiculous. each album has great songs but each album is certainly not strong enough to demand such places.
something happens at 55 is way too high, the prayer boat at 61 is also too high, blades at 98 is criminal

no the pale, no engine alley, didnt see divine comedy, microdisney....

    meh... ;)

If the list was compiled at the start of 2005, it would have been when they were at their peak commercially. Every man and his dog had 2 or 3 of their albums when I was in college.

yeah i suppose im a bit of an auld lad when it comes to lists like this :)

of all their albums im a fitzcaraldo fan... the others have some great tunes but arent as 'full'. its their live sets which make them a great band, which is why 'set list' is probably there.

come to thin of it, theres a lot of live albums on there.

Since when are The Pogues Irish??

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 6,525 Mod ✭✭✭✭dregin

Christ, that list does nothing other than confirm the fact that Hotpress is written by people who don't actually have any interest in music.

Since always. Ask anyone in the world what country they're from and they'll say Ireland, even though they're wrong

It's always hard to tell during exams whether a show is really good, or whether a show is just much better than studying, but I take the opinion that Daredevil on Netflix is really good.

It's very like Batman Begins. His superhero isn't gratuitous, he's very much a mortal and a flawed one at that. His back story is interesting, I enjoy his real life. I think the shooting and the setting are excellent.

Unfortunately my only issue is that too much of it seems to be shot on sets. That is probably a factor of using NYC.

We must be about the same age. Loved the Pale when I was younger, saw them live a good few times... Prefer Fitzcarraldo too

Jesus. Conservatives seem to be very unexpectedly getting close to a majority themselves. That's completely unexpected.

Presume that's based on exit polls as there's no way the counts have started coming in

That can't be good for us can it? The middle englanders might actually pull the UK out of the EU
