What does he do then? Go on the dole until next season and try and get a rugby league contract?

He'll most likely end up on a practice squad which has a set salary. He might decide to be back to league.

Maybe we'll see him take a shot at union. If it was about money he'd go for union anyway.

I was in tesco a few hours ago and a bottle of Olmeca fusion tequila with chocolate caught my eye, €19.99 for a bottle which I thought was good value, so o picked it up and was about to head to the till until I realised.....I've never drunk tequila in my life!

Tequila is one drink I don't think I could stomach.

I was at an industry conference all week and I'm just back now. Between manning a stand and networking I didn't get a chance to look at my fantasy team this week and I have 3 guys on a bye. Whoever has me should enjoy the easy win.

As a scientist with a background in both food science and cancer biology, these "WHO says meat is a carcinogen" reports are getting on my nerves. A friend of mine worked on one of the studies. I have read the paper. The media scaremongering is ridiculous, at best.

Yes there is an increase in cancer in comparison to the control, but the controls were vegetarians. Hardly like with like. And the reports suggest that the increase risk is only in line with that of working in a hairdressers. I'm sure the people to did the study are exposed to a higher risk with the chemicals they used for the experiments, than the meats themselves.

Typical case of media making a story out of nothing for a headline.

So what you're saying is that it's perfectly fine to eat my body weight in bacon tomorrow? :D

Insurance companies are so frustrating. Anyone ever got gadget insurance before? Ever read the fine print for all their exclusions? Very misleading indeed.

For example, if you are using your phone and someone runs up and grabs it out of your hand and runs away this is apparently not theft in their eyes.

It's pretty shady that this stuff is buried in the small print.

I've come across that before, what do they expect you to do? Chase down the thief?

Nothing. They cover theft on your person only if the phone is concealed.

Jarryd Hayne has been waived by the 49ers. Will someone pick him up?

I don't think he'll make it through waivers myself.
