What sort of parent decides it's a good idea to have them all round? :pac:
I assume most of them are the kids that mfceiling knows from the road? You know, the kids that knock in for him?
    I lolled

We just found out we're having twins and that number made me break out in a rash. I'd be thinking two of them can have 10 friends each. And their parents will count as two of them.

If their mother ever tries to arrange a party like that there's be a long weekend in London booked for me and me alone to coincide with it!

Enjoy your sleep now, you'll not sleep after they are born for about three years.

One will wake to be fed/changed, and the second will wake just after that's done and you are heading back to sleep :pac:

F1 driver Jules Bianchi has passed away. His father was interviewed during the week and he said his injuries were catastrophic and he felt that knowing his son, he believed he wouldn't want to come out of that coma.
Sad day for sport, but a final release for Jules

First death in a race since Senna. I'm pretty sad, any non fans on here probably wouldn't know him, but he was a class act. I think he's still the only driver from one of the "minnow" teams to ever score points. Ferrari were very interested. In general he just seemed like a top bloke with a loving family. His death was a waste, but there will always be risk in motor racing.

I see the old fox that is Swiwi has called it a day on the forum.

Shame to see him go. Hope he's back in some incarnation.

Kinda delighted with myself I just ran 5K for the 1st time ever and I hadn't even been training towards it. Most I'd done before this was about 3K

Are you going to continue with the running?

It can get addictive, just so you know!

Will probably do it a couple of times a week, tag season is finishing up so my main cardio will be going away and I might replace it with running. Other than that I do the gym at lunch time and am enjoying that so it will probably remain my main focus. Wouldn't mind doing the a 5k race at some stage though

Parkruns are free races, run every Saturday morning all around the country and 5k long.

The trend of wankerish behaviour in GAA continues. Cork players faking injuries. Kerry player shouting in a Cork player's face after scoring a goal.

Not many championship games that don't have something like this in it now.

I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find any sport without some degree of wankerish behaviour.
Don't forget, Munster is the home of pashun!!

Think Frampton is supposed to start at 10.

  • Administrators Posts: 55,125 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    WTF is he doing.

Good fight. Gonzalez is going to get himself disqualified if he keeps punching Frampton in the knackers.

Frampton is on top but needs to be wary of the counter punching. He's probably shading it on points now.

Could well be a KO for someone though the way the punches are being flung.

I'm hating The Star at this point.

Think Frampton must be ahead on points now.

Home town decisions. Will need to be certain of being ahead.

  • Administrators Posts: 55,125 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Frampton is going to need to get his balls rubbed after this ffs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Should have this on points but it underlines how sheltered his career has been.

Hopefully he moves on from here as he's good entertainment. Really solid watch.

  • Administrators Posts: 55,125 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    Proper fight that. Punches flying.

Ah yeah, obvious example of similarly wankerish behaviour. But it's not tolerated in rugby and he was widely criticised for it. He has spoken about it and been a pretty model professional in the years since.

In GAA it's become an accepted part of the game. Hurling is brutal for someone winning a free and celebrating, including shouting in someone's face.

The Kerry lad goading the defender after scoring the goal was completely unnecessary but worse again was the Cork player launching himself to the deck, clutching his face when his marker bumped him in the chest as he ran past.

From the opening game of the Championship I watched (Donegal vs Tyrone) to last night, nearly every game I've seen has had some element of that rubbish. It's rarely mentioned unless it's completely over the top as it appears to be simply considered part and parcel of the game which is disappointing.
