Yeah Jo'Burger is an odd one, I've had more disappointing meals there than good, but they do a lot of things quite well. The fries are amazing, and their sauces are really good. They do a weekly 'deadly' fries which is always good too.

When I go I just get a burger with 3 rashers, smoked applewood and the curry sauce and hopefully they don't overcook the burger.

I find the one in town is the best.

But it's pretty far down on the list of good burgers.

You know where does a brilliant burger? Ricks. That little old fashioned fast food joint on the corner of dame st and george's st. Just proper no frills fresh burgers, messy and hell but delicious.

Before burger culture really took off (which essentially is before the economic collapse), Ricks was regularly talked about as one of the best burgers in Dublin. It hasn't really changed with the times, however, and appears to be completely forgotten about now.

When everyone else was slopping out fast food, small, dried out burgers they were serving proper, meaty slabs. Haven't been there in years but it was definitely good when I did frequent.

Speaking of Georges street, we went to San Lorenzos for brunch a few weeks back and it was delish.

Very hipster though. Molloy would love it.

It's still the same, and whilst they may be forgotten about by the blogger generation, they certainly are still pulling in the crowds. After a feed of pints a cheese burger from there is a bit special.

777 on George's St is amazing. Every Sunday they have dishes for €7.77 in a kind of tapas style. Superb Mexican restaurant. I went on a Saturday where this is a 'normal' menu and it's a tad expensive but still great.

The €7.77 chicken wings on Sunday are the best I've eaten in Dublin.

If you're a hipster like Molloy, that's the place for you. It's a very small restaurant but it's more like a bar! Music is belted out.

Yeah it's quite good, it's not amazing imo but it hits all the brunch spots with a really, really massive brunch menu so it has something for everyone. The lobster benedict is amazing.

Anthony's other place, TacoTaco, is really good too but they do their own version of poutine fries and it's the nicest thing I've ever eaten.

Yeah, best Mexican in Dublin, easily. Quality grub.

    1. 777 on Sunday
    2. La Mere Zou
    3. Aussie BBQ
    4. Merrion Inn
    5. Marco Pierre White in Donnybrook

That's my top five, even though you're comparing apples and oranges in that list!

I've had genuine poutine in Toronto, not sure anything in Dublin would be able to do it justice.

It's a nice stroll around the gardens and the museum and stuff... but nothing amazing. Also avoid the cafe.

I've had geniune poutine too.. But, the 'poutine' in TacoTaco isn't really poutine (They don't use curds), but it's still easily the most delicious thing I've tasted.

Actually, speaking of which, at Body&Soul there was guys doing real proper poutine, with proper curds and gravy, it was also amazing.

Myself and .ak have both met molloy and can confirm it to be true.

First time I met him he was wearing fluorescent pink flowery skinny jeans, a yellow wife beater with a straw hat, a large beard and John Lennon sunglasses.

He was also carrying a copy of Les Miserables to read, and smoked a pipe.

The Royal Hospital is a great but as for the exhibitions, if you like modern/contemporary art then you'll love the place.

I'd say there'll be a serious amount of middle aged men going on a bender tonight at AC/DC. :D

It's ok. I was there once and found it grand, but nothing special. It wasn't for brunch though. They're apparently really strict on time for brunch, actually asking people to leave. Feck that.

I love Taco Taco. The nachos are excellent and the doughnuts are utterly amazing.

I feel I should point out that I was eating poutine about 12 years ago. I don't any more. That's how hipster I am.

Having just walked through town I can confirm that the AC/DC crowd are out in force. Although in fairness who doesn't like a bit of AC/DC?

My daughter is working at it, have to pick her up afterwards, will be interesting seeing all the old rockers hobling up the road.

Aviva is an awful, awful venue for music, the acoustics in the stands are ridiculously bad.
