A sense of disquiet settles upon the room where Monday Night Grappling is hosting a press conference.

A tweet put out by the owner has everyone anxious, for he has stated that he has reached a deal with - in his own words - 'an old foe.' A man who will control affairs in the company for the year ahead.

The lights dim...and we see a video of the owner shaking hands and then... is...is he hugging someone...?

    Oh good God almighty...!

    ...it's Eric Bischoff!

Eric Bischoff: It's so great to be here in Monday Night Grappling for the first time. I've been such a big fan of this show for so many, many years.

(Fan cries out): How come you tried to destroy us in the past?

Bischoff: Oh that was so long ago. Those Draft games with the WECWF etc feel like another lifetime in all honesty. As far as I'm concerned those days are well and truly behind me...

And on that note can I just say how thrilled I am to be able to work with my old pal Stone Cold Steve Austin again. Everyone knows our history: how I fired him; when we were rival GMs on Raw and so on. But as far as I'm concerned those days too are best left in the past.

(Another fan): And why should we believe you?

Bischoff: C'mon, does this look like a face with something to hide?

I have decided to go with a wrestler from early 80/90s to expand the roster a little. When we looked at the options available for this promotion we wanted a guy with a proven record as a good guy, a bad guy, in a team or all through the card on his own.

    One man stood out.

His physical size, stamina and heritage may also have had something to do with it.

chancing that my planned pick will last a bit longer for someone who gives me a few options who I think if he had a better WWE run would go a lot earlier every year.

    * A man who was an all American in college
    * Then went on to hold the NWA world title twice
    * His second reign lasted for over four years
    * He also competed in many MMA promotions such as King of the Cage, PRIDE FC, Cage Rage, WEC, RINGS, MFC
    * Including UFC where he is a Hall of Famer and a former UFC Superfight Champion.

    The man is a Beast

Ladies and Gentlemen, MWF has come to an agreement with one of, if no the greatest, wrestler of all time. This man has almost done it all, even his shocking lack of a WWF title couldn't hold them back from inducting him into their hall of fame. He is one of only 6 wrestlers to be inducted into the WWE, NWA, Professional Wrestling and Wrestling Observer Hall of fame. He has multiple match of the year and wrestler of the year awards from PWI and the Wrestling Observer and he is guaranteed to make a splash in the MWF. Ladies and Gentlemen we are honoured to announce our newest signing as Harley Race.
